I got home late but without any real drama. Our train line started back up around half 6 and I managed to get a train just after 7. Slight delay at one station when they had to take tree branches out of the overhead lines bt all in all a lot less traumatic than the snow adventures in March!

I couldn't face public transport today so I am wfh, curled up in a chair with Casper, a cuppa and the Swagger playlist on spotify on full volume

I might have a job interview tomorrow. Have doubts whether the role is what I really want. I'm thinking a first interview won't hurt and I can always pull out... I would be a slightly higher basic, a car (or car allowance), a great pension deal (E'ee 4% and E'er 10%) and a 25% annual bonus... I really feel for most of the country suffering with storm Ali, I'm very fortunate we are in a corner of the Uk that barely gets any extreme weather.
Best of luck in the job interview, if nothing else it will be good practice.
I think I may have to join you on the reduced sugar diet. I've not done my usual swimming and running and yoga this week so my diet has been so rubbish. I feel totally pants.
Lots of water and fresh veg needed.

I'm not going for the interview. I have thought it over and the role just doesn't excite me in any way - its just not an industry I have any interest in. Doesn't matter how good the package is if I don't like the company or what it does.
In other news I downloaded YNAB yesterday. I am not sure I like it - but it is so different to how I normally operate I'm going to give it the month. I'm guessing if I need to go into my overdraft I need to get used to the red 'over budget' message? I do like that I can do it from my laptop or from my phone... I may watch the video later and see if that helps any.
I also came across Yolt which actually lets you link to your accounts. Does anyone have any experience of this?
Payday today :j Slightly less brassic than I was 24 hours ago, after dropping cash into the joint account, adding to the Xmas savings tin and (temporarily) clearing the OD. Not using OD this month is not realistic given £135 for driving lessons, but I want to use less than £300. Not much to report around here. Passed my theory test yesterday so that is a big thing ticked off the to do list! Otherwise nothing to report. Just working, commuting, eating and sleeping (well it certainly feels that way).
