Good morning lovelies. Hope you are all well, lurkers and posters alike!

I had a great 4-day weekend. I took Thursday off (and told nobody other than Hubbles) and went for a day in the Weege. I took advantage of the sale in M&S to get some much needed underwear (4 complete matching 'sets' for £40 is bargainous! The equivalent in Boux Ave would have been over £100!) and a skirt for work.

I got a few other bits and bobs (within budgeted spends for the day) and then went for a head and back massage (voucher) which was apparently very much needed given the crunching and popping in my left shoulder! After that I headed home to gifts and cake and a relax in our sunny back garden.

Friday I motored through some housework and started purging our bedroom. I seem to be in declutter mode and I am loving it! The rest of the weekend was quite relaxed although Mum is starting to wear on me a bit. The theme of this visit appears to be being shut away in my room as a teenager... only 30 odd years ago Mother! Besides - the alternative was to go out and get the carp kicked out of me which I got quite enough of at school thanks very much... still - just 10 days to go. I can keep it all in for 10 more days... Plus they eat WAY TOO MUCH, Mum especially (I'm sorry but I think 2 pork chops is excessive in one sitting). Still, the extra cost is easily covered by the savings in childcare this month.

In other news, we booked our holidays and are set to fly to Turkey for 10 nights (actually 11 full days because of flight times :)). We held off as long as we could and have got an amazing all inclusive holiday and save around £2.5k off the full price that was listed even a couple of months ago. So I need to lose about 2 stone in 10 days... Or find a magic bikini so I don't give everyone the boke :rotfl:

On a more MSE front, we took full advantage of the double discount and saved £70 on non-perishables plus £30 of vouchers so £200 on £300ish of supplies. Should perhaps have stocked up a bit more on meat to cover the ravenous hordes... I need to get back to surveys and start chipping at the CC. Hubbles may get a new BT offer soon but I want to have less than £3k when he does.

Right - off to get some work done. Hopefully will get some surveys at lunchtime.

Loved the M&S sale.. Underwear is a shout! I always get my bras from there but my cup/ band size are all over the place at the moment so didn't think it wise for me to get any. I did have a nosey though and was very tempted.

Sounds like such a lovely few days off... A massage and then cake in the sun sounds perfect!

Also yay to the holiday!!! How exciting  I hope you have a fantastic time and I'm sure you will look brilliant - Im confident it will be a boke free zone :o

HI LR. Birthday cake in the sun was indeed lovely :)

I'm okay. Just reading through some very technical legal stuff for work and it takes a while to translate it to normal English. To give you an idea I can easily read 1,000 pages in a weekend but this was 20 pages in 4 hours (only about 400 more pages to go

I am very much looking forward to over 2 weeks off work but I have a LOT to do to get organised and a LOT to get done at work before I go...

Picked up a few bits for the kids in Primark for our holidays but the card machine wasn't working - declined all my debit cards even though I knew there was cash in the account so I tried my MasterCard as a last resort. It was also declined (I have the till slip to prove it) but when I checked my CC balance this morning the charge has come off my account. Now I need to phone TBank and get it fixed. What a hassle.

(BTW I got the stuff - I went and drew cash to pay for it whilst the nice lady held onto my purchases for me :) - 3 s/s shirts, a pair of shorts, 3 pairs of shoes and a pair of flip flops for £21.50 :D)

Oh what a faff! Frustrating when things like that happen...Hopefully it was sorted quick enough by the bank for you :) Glad you got the stuff anyway... Primark is such a bargain for 'bits'.

I feel like you are potentially off on your awesome holiday at the moment... If that's the case I hope you're having the most lovely time! Scotland is grey and wet (or at least my bit is anyway!) so you definitely picked the right time to get away :rotfl:
