your phone getting cut off is a low priority thing, it can wait.
I know it must be irritating but the job centre have to look qt everything to make sure you are entitled to jsa and not hiding money in an account etc. You can't expect it to happen overnight. Also there will more than likely be people waiting longer than you who had their claim in first.
It will be backdated though0 -

a phone is not low priority how are we supposed to hear about job interviews without a phone, how are we supposed to phone up and check about our claim without a phone, how are we supposed to phone up to get a crisis loan without a phone, there are no pay phones around here (not that we have the money for them) nor can we go to friends and family and use theirs as they live too far
so yes a phone is a necessity for us0 -

You might feel that the phone is essential but it isnt and if you think it is you have a lot to learn about benefits!0 -
6 weeks, we've been waiting five and a half months! No housing benefit or council tax benefit yet either! We've got a 10 month old son too feed also, if we're not priority when we've got eviction notices and Sheriff Officer letters I hardly think your phone bill is a priority!0

if your phone is about to be cut off but you've only been without for 6 and a half weeks then you were behind in paying before that yeah?Otherwise you could contact them and sort it.Has it been restricted to only incoming calls yet?
If you are going to survive on benefits for a while you need to get used to how tight it will be for you.Do you have any children you claim anything for?If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
