    Hi everyone

Quiet today, received Barclaycard Statement today interest still being added at a reduced rate. I know you guys moan about BC, but I look at it at least they have reduced the interest rate and not kept it at the original rate. So at least the debt is coming down 0% would be great but its not to be.

Have a good weekend everyone and enjoy your Bank Holiday.

I am sure I read somewhere that once the DMP Monthly payment hits 1% of the overall debt then Barclaycard charge interest. I will stand corrected if anyone can come up with something.

on a separate note weather is great up North.

  • Hi all,

Been reading through all this "dark side" side and followed you Mikon to take a peek over there. Some sound advise available. Going to give it some serious thought especially if some of our debts prove to be UE then we're prepared to say a "BIG NO" to the predators. On our DMP we could be struggling along for many years. Even if we can get one or two creditors on UE that will significantly improve our situation with paying off those that have played by the rules. Alls fair in love and war so they say.

    Anyone-else thinking about it?

    Hi Money Muppets

Read loads especially on the orange side before you decide, it's not something to be taken lightly and its a lot of hassle but it WILL get rid of some of your debt faster than a long drawn out DMP. its working well for us, around a third of a huge pile admitted to be UE by the creditors, another third is UE, they just can't bring themselves to say it or contact us and around a third which will need to be paid back with nice and tiny f&fs. Ask over on the orange side or PM me either place, happy to help.

Had it not been for getting some unexpected cash at Xmas then several very good F and Fs (25-35%) and all my creditors freezing interest, then yes I think I probably would. I came really close last Autumn as Dopey knows!!
But as she said, it really is not something to be taken lightly, if you are going to go for it you have to stop paying all of them, be strong and I would have thought be very, very organised with good internet connections (you need access to the forum daily I guess?). PP
