My only worry is that I have another debt with the same company but the amount owed is only £55 I worry in case they refuse the offer and suggest I offset the £45 offer against the £55 debt.
I am inclined to say that my mother stipulates that it is for the £200 debt an not the other as the other one I may offer £15 F & F for that one.
Thank you your such a great help Prof PP.

Bit of a Catch 22 situation.
Guess the only one at present I could make an offer on would be a debt for £175 and then the others creditors could share the £3.50 a month between themIf I could pay it off without paying the full £175 I guess it would be a bonus though. Barclaycard being the only one still adding interest is obviously the one I would like to offer F&Fs to, but I have nowhere near the amount they'd probably need.
Mikon re reducing payments to make living day to day easier, despite the worry of re kicking off letters and phonecalls, having done it once I think it will be easier the 2nd time as we know they can and will threaten, but it won't get them any more money if we don't have it to give and courts will rule in our favour for making the effort to pay, should they carry the threat through so they probably won't.
Payplan reduced mine this month, the web page shows the offers were sent on various dates in May and all say "accepted". Confused as to if this "accepted" is a new "accepted" or still the old ones. M&S I know have accepted as I've heard from them but the BC bill threatened that I should pay the old rate and contact them not use a 3rd party if I wanted to change the amount, so I wait to see what happens with them. HSBC are just odd and either take the money or sell on and continue to take the money and usually leave me alone.Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -

It sounds as if Payplan have a much better website than CCCS. CCCS website does not tell you if your creditors have accepted or not its just a basic site. They do not respond to emails and sometimes give inaccurate info as I have experienced recently. But I must say that they have been great overall. But I do like the idea of seeing who has accepted or declined.
As for BC they do not do F & F

Hi Mikon,
when I was sending tokens last year I stopped opening my post at weekends so that at least I had some stress free time...maybe an idea for you this bank holiday as even if you open it, you won't be able to phone anyone to sort it anyway - just a thought, maybe help you take some power back.
Gibbs, am sure Barclays can't ask you to contact them directly re a change in payments if you are thru CCCS or Payplan - OFT guidelines say it is bad practice to refuse to go via a 3rd nominated party?
Half term coming up folks :j so I may be AWOL at some point Incorporator here we come
Tedsd
Good suggestion about not opening the letters but it would worry me and eat away at me all weekend. I tend to open them stew for an hour then put them in my case and forget about it.
Gibbs
Tedsd is right Barclaycard subscribe to the lending code and cannot refuse to deal with a nominated 3rd party.
It is considered unfair practice for a creditor or debt collecting agency to refuse to deal with a third party nominated by a debtor. The only time refusal to deal with a third party would not be considered as unfair is if the third party is not acting in the best interest of the debtor.
Hope this helps you.Mikon Riding the DMP Rollercoaster full of ups and downs but i will get to the end. :T:j

Mint Loan - want to talk to us
Mint card - normal statement but interest not on it
Alliance Leicester/Santander - want to talk to us
Next - normal statement but interest not on it
B Card - normal statement we pay 225 they add 177 interest:mad:
Llyods loan - nothing as yet
HSBC bank account and C Card - got a letter saying as we didnt sign letter could do nothing...then next day get letter wanting to talk re settlement figure for both accounts up to a maximum of 50% ??
NRock Loan - we didnt send letter to them as already stopped interest but received an arrears letter - probably just a computer generated one
So should I give em a call next week whwn its half term and I'm off?? Don't have funds yet for F&Fs but could be good to test the water???
Car Boot raised £30, probably do another this weekend for spends over the break. What's everyone else doing if half term holidaying??? Hope the weather stays nice.

Thursday has arrived and no money left. 2 Children to feed and ourselves a bank holiday weekend to get through not good.
Pay day is Tuesday
This is going to be a testing time.
Feel quite low at the moment. How did I get into this mess.
Being without money, reality has hit home how low can you get.

Mikon, don't let it get you down, for each of us struggling through there is always others out there worse off. At least we have each other to talk to and lift our spirits. We came close last week as got budget wrong and had to get to work and back on vapours.
Try cooking with the kids - always fun and tastes better too - pancakes or fairy cakes both easy to do and you dont need much - raid ya cupboards.

Good Luck Mikon,
Am sure you'll make through till Tuesday, it's not far away.
I've told the kids we'll go out on the bikes this weekend with a picnic. There only young so do not relly know what money is, but they are excited.
UPDATE FROM THIS WEEK
Had a number of letters this week, mainly due to me cancelling direct debits etc. (You know the sort, you must either set up a new direct debit or ensure that the minimum payent is met else if could affect your credit rating) At that point I laugh and file it.
The only people that have trie to hassle me are NRAM (Nortern Rock Loan) - A letter about my direct debit being cancelled, A text message to remind me of payment, then a letter telling me how they understand my circumstances and may be willing to reduce payments if I complete all the budget forms, but obviously this will mean that the length of my loan will also increase significantly.)
Sent a letter to them today telling them to contact CCCS regarding my debt and to channel their efforts througgh CCCS before contacting me. (Feels quite good)
Nevermind, thats my waffle for the week. Hope you all have a great weekend and hang in there.
Take care
