newbegging Thank you I just wish I could stop thinking about it. Its good to hear it does. I was considering going to the doctors and asking for some prozac but the problem is still there so I am trying to resist but it is hard and the letters are not helping. My wife has the right approach she just tells me stop worrying they are computer generated the banks are aware of the problem we have rang them and wrote to them so what more can we do. However it does not make me feel any better.

But hearing it from you gives me that lift. Thanks Newbegging

The wife's right (as we always are :rotfl:) most letters are computer generated, and from what I can gather the banks don't pay much attention when it's you telling them, when they get the notification from CCCS they seem to calm down with the phone calls and letters

Calmness all, CCCS do send everything electronically, so your timescale could work out fine Mikon, no prozac, you won't need it cos when you are up and running it will get better. Of all of us on here (this thread), no one would want to go back to the months before their DMP started (WOULD THEY????) so it will get better really. We only had around 6 actual phone calls from creditors, and most of those were of the you've cancelled your DD variety. NO ONE was horrible, as I've said before, incompetant, thick, reading from a script, but not horrible. So it can and has been coped with and you will all be fine!!!

OK Dopey's rant is now over, can't talk cos of my throat so am shouting virtually!!!

Mama hope your Ok and bearing up, remember what i said about info, knowledge is power!!! (which actually applies to debt coping as well, wish I had known years ago what I know now IYSWIM?)

Very true PDD I know wish I'd known this before, years and years ago. Feel better knowing I can do something to help SIL - although its very small - rather than just feeling useless.

They were too scared to phone you, they know you can squish small business men and scare course leaders by refusing to take part in their bonding PE activities!!!!!!

agree being a poor old grumpy dopey has its compensations, and I would be much worse off without this board, that's for sure.

Keep on the positives - our lovely paddling friends!!
Dh came into Aldi with me today, he is not indoctrinated to the ways of the trolley and the opeing and closing tills... he could quite happily have bashed the Aldi people over the head with our 59p pineapple, we'd only got a few items and he was very:mad:

my OH has not yet trotted over the door of said Aldi, he sits in the car and comes to help once I've done the trolley dance and found an open checkout!!!
By the way, my pineapple cost 50p at Mr T's!!!!

Is there an international glut of pineapples? they used to cost a fortune, and here they are being thrown about willy nilly for pence!

Proof that Credit Cards companys left and right hands ignore each other.

I had a letter from MBNA saying they were accepting the DMP and reduced payment amount through CCCS.

    That was yesterday.

    Today.

I had a letter from CCCS saying that MBNA had refused their offer of payment as it was too low (same amount as the MBNA letter).

Nevermind, I will carry on regardless. CCCS said to ignore them anyway and they will just pay the offererd amount.

I think MBNA are doing this just to wind me up.
