Thanks, has anybody actually booked with ryanair with this card and not been charged £5 by ryanair?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Ryanair cannot 'do whatever the hell they like with' its planes. Heavens knows what 'I can lose two hulls' O'Leary would get up to if he were not contrained by the aviation regulators. Ryanair will not be allowed to put in more than 189 seats or have only one toilet and the whole thing is the usual any publicity is good publicity claptrap.
........Exactly.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

And this is another little chip away at their business model. Unfortunately while they might be good at flying people who can be bothered with the hassle around Europe for a few quid they can't build a business on it and they are sure as hell annoying all the people who do pay the proper fares.
No-one else in the airline industry is copying the model because it's not sustainable and one day it will all come collapsing down.0 -

If the business model was that bad how come they have survied so far?
He does seem to have built a decent business on it so far. Surely the "proper fare" is the priice you are asked to pay. Fly with first choice & see how cr*p an airline can be.0 -

Ryanair love them or hate them have had a huge influence over airlines and how they do business.
Their model is copied everywhere from the US to Tiger Airways (who directly associate their model with that of Ryanair) in Australia and the Far East.
My company regularly uses Ryanair for business and there is no hassle at all, in fact Ryanair is often less hassle. The business model set down by Ryanair makes it one of the most profitable airlines in the world and one of the largest carriers in Europe. Whilst airlines have been suffering huge losses Ryanair has sustained growth (except for the odd quarter) and continues to increase its load.
From experience the only people who knock Ryanair are those who read the tabloids yet have never actually flown the airline. They may be more like a bus than an airline, but until BA start charging 2p return to European destinations then ill stick with Ryanair. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0 -
I much prefer the services of Easyjet myself who have highly equipped planes and bigger seats, but hey that's a choice and others may not agree.
And Ryanair also have extremely highly equipped aircraft with industry standard size seating for this type of aircraft just as easyjet do for theirs which of course are not an bigger.
You really must refrain from spouting nonsense inferring that Ryanair don't have highly equipped aircraft and that easyjet seats are bigger especially considering you've never even set foot on board a Ryanair aircraft !0 -
Househuntr: Easyjet seats are actually bigger at 18 inches wide compared to Ryanair's 17 inches according to seatguru. However, seat pitch is an inch less at 29 inches so only benefits short fat people.0
