    A quick Google suggests:

"If the company is insolvent and continues to trade whilst it is insolvent, the directors of the company may become personally liable to contribute to the company's assets and help meet the deficit to unsecured creditors if the company's financial position is made worse by the directors continuing to trade, instead of putting the company into immediate liquidation".

It is very dodgy to trade whilst insolvent and is likely to result in being banned as a director. I suggest you keep all emails, records where he has claimed to be insolvent and print off any ads etc. that suggest he is still trading.

You can ask Companies Investigation Branch of the DTI to look into him.

I have to say that in my view this company sounds very dodgy. People who are genuinely trying to keep going do not send abusive emails, and would meet their current obligations before taking more orders.
  • You could report them to Action Fraud they give advice to victims of fraud and will pass information on to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau who can investigate the company.

great suggestions there thanks, I am definately going to report to trading standards and encourage the other people who have emailed me etc to do the same.

Someone emailed me yesterday who sent him £170, but by cheque, so not much hope of getting that back :(

can anyone point me in the right direction for emailing/complaining to trading standards? Its pointing me to consumer direct first, also do you report to the TS in my own town or the guys town?

You go through Consumer Direct - it will be your local branch who deal with it. They usually take details and someone rings you back. Part of the problem is that a coordinated national effort is required to deal with companies who deal through mail order, ebay etc. Depending on your local branch of TS, they can be great or totally useless.

anyone not banned who can have a look and see if they are indeed active on there, as I can't recall...
  • Hi to everyone to all the people who are calling me a scammer please read this very carefully as you are not listening to what i have said to you.

Firstly it is with great regret that our business has had to finish due a large pet supplier going bust which has had a knock on effect on us resulting in us having to finish we are not making any runs the ads you can see are being deleted.

The outstanding runs will not be made but this is it you will get a refund did you get that bit you will get a refund. Paypal have allready told me this it just takes time for them to do it they will start from the 16th April.

Anyone who has payed by cheque will also get their money back yes you read that right aswell. That is going to take longer i cant help that.

I have not scammed anyone at all if i had i would have gone bankrupt and no one would have got their money back would they, and i would be laid on a beach somewhere but im not.

I am trying to do the right thing here it is just 1 big mess for us all and i have said sorry if you want to get in touch with trading standards that is fine as they will see i am doing what i can.

By the time they have wrote to me you will have had your money back once again just in case the ones who cant take this in you will get a full refund in due coarse.

Hopefully those who have outstanding orders will post here as soon as they receive their refunds. Please keep us updated, as I am sure we all hope that Mr Tindall is a man of his word.

Looking on the Rabbits United forum, I can't seem to find any info now about Run Rabbit Runs - this suggests they have deleted the thread. I think this is a pretty poor show as I am sure people had posted on there that they had paid and not received orders.

edit: there is still a thread on Rabbits United, just took a bit of finding:
