Mambury, i didn't vote BNP as I agree they are racist, fascist and are just a little too hitleresque for my liking however I do think that the country needs to close its doors, or at least stop giving handouts to people who come into the country. This country is on its knees and there is no reason why it has to be if we implemented something like australia do whereas you have to prove yourself before you come over the border.

I am half german myself and I have no problem with any race, religion or nationality coming in here and I have friends of all races, nationalities and religions I just think that something needs to be done and fingers crossed it will be and things will be starting to look up by tomorrow.

I meant no offence to anyone by saying that I have thought about BNP and I apologise if I caused any offence.

I thought as part of the EU we can't refuse entry to EU citizens, isn't that right? So we actually can't close our borders entirely. Whereas Australia are an independent nation and can do what the heck they like.

ETA babymoo, no offence taken. We have a wide range of views on here and it's nice that we feel safe enough on here to express things openly.

very true.... but I really worry when a party such as the BNP who are essentially a fascist organisation spout rubbish about being British. Chinese takeaways, Indian restaurants.... etc. I guess what I am saying is other nationalities are making Britain the culturally diverse place it is now and that is a good thing.... The policy of repatriating non Caucasian foreign national that the BNP has is total fantasy and is completely unworkable..... for a start how much would it cost. You cannot simply put them on a plane to Mumbai, Botswana, Ghana etc and leave them there.....can you imagine the reaction of the UN councils????

No offence at all Babymoo and I agree with all you are saying-however IMO the BNIP are waaay beyond just stopping immigration. When I did the votematch thing it actually said I should vote BNP because I agreed that immigration needed to be seriously looked at....nearly wet myself when Dilli said she got that result as well!
I agree completely that immigration should be limited like Australia to people that can actually contribute..its when the parties want to get rid of people that have been here for generations and contributed to the economy by working and paying taxes for decades just because they aren't white that it makes me angry. Hope that explains a bit of my opinion!

We do have a points based immigration system in this country for non EU nationals, as 2 Cats said we are part of the EU so therefore have an open border policy as do all other member states.
