Personally I don't think it will be a hung parliment. Its going to be between Tories and Labour and I know who I'm hoping get in (after a lovely conversation with a certain blu politician for my constituent who basically said he'd give to the rich and take from the poor )
Obviously thought I was rich until I told him to !!!! off.
Also asked him what he was going to do about my sons future and he ummed and ehhed to much it was unbeleivable!!!
We should have an MSE party with Mr Lewis himelf as prime minister. Least we'd have a government who loved a bargain!0 -
Right, Onto talk about my 10k challenge. I have a dilemna!
Please think as if you are potential customers of mine...........
I am writing a website admin system which would allow people to use it in a windows like interface (Heading wise and colorscheme), with the goal of trying to keep it looking familiar to the user and hence relaxing them with the system initially.
My issue is wheather to go for a fully branded up looking piece of software - or to go for something which looks like a windows interface yet get completely slated by my competition for building something which looks out of date for the web 2.0 years..... However I am embracing web 2.0 technology just not the interface styling.
I dont know what to do and it is a lot of work either way!£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Other possibility would be training as a TA, which I think I'd be pretty decent at with all this experience, and I'd probably be much in demand to help with PE lessons LOL.
Well, yes TAs have school hols - handy if you have children - but have you checked how very low the pay is - I and other members of my family work in education (some are TAs and cover supervisors) and TA pay is considered to be scandalously low in the education world. Can be a nice job though - as a teacher I always valued my TAs highly (desperately, gratefully - you get the picture) but their very low rates are pro rata'd out to be roughly £9000 a year (depending on grade). Shocking for the work they do.0 -
God, I wish OH wasn't home right now, is nice to finally talk to people who understand, don't just spout the same old !!!!!! and never actually make it to the polling station! If I can stay awake that long, I will join you Mambury. Really torn, as to vote for who I would like nationally, means to vote for the bloke who is going to put OH out of work locally
can't win them all, so had to do a last minute rethink this morning.

Get yourself rich quickly!!!!
Only Joking. (well i wish i wasnt but hey) - you have to think beyond the one MP and look at the policies, from what I can see tax credits are only going to get cut for those earning above 50k (which as I explained to my wife is £4166.66 a month post tax £2,984,20 A MONTH!!!!) These people currently get £500 a year tax credits up to £66,000 from the little research I have done, which equates to about £9.60 a week! Do they need this?
Unfortunately for the nation Brown has picked this up as his defence to the conservatives and yelled at the top of his voice at every opportunity. I sincerly hope that Labour do not get into power - not just because I hate brown but because I can forsee the previously strong pound massively devalueing under another Labour term and inflation going through the roof and the country being worse off in the next 5 years.
I voted conservatives in the hope they will have the balls to grab the country by the balls and kick it back into some form of financial security in the next 5 years - without destroying the country first (A possibility)£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

grr sinus pain back with avengeance today. splitting headache and swollen glands and blocked ears.going to ring drs in morning I think.
Hi Jo - I used to suffer terribly with sinusitis - I eventually found some tiny tablets (you let them melt on your tongue - taste a bit sweet) called Combination Q from health food shops - I took these and paracetamol for the pain and in a day or so all was better! trouble is you have to be sure not to drink or eat for a while after taking them because I believe it renders them less effective!0 -
sorry to spout off again but should i have had 2 ballot sheets then? only had one green sheet for local elections.:j:jDribbling my way to financial success:j:j
