Jo. please use your vote. Even if it is not on the issue you are interested in, use it on a minority party, whoever but please use it.

It took too long for women (an working class men) to gain a vote in this country that I feel it is too precious to not use....

    PLease don't take offence Jo!!!

Nixi - I have you in mind for my PR person when I need you... and can afford you!!

No Jo - thank you for the mini moves!!

I'm not joining in the politics debate because I have my views, but not many I am passionate about. I have listened and read about the parties views and policies and I have picked the party that I think overall best suits my needs. I don't agree with everything they say but I agree with more of theirs then with the others, and I am a ittle ashamed to say it but I have judged a little on personality too - if I believe what they are telling me or not! I just hope whoever gets in makes decisions that make our country a better place not worse!

sorry mambury when i said I will not vote out of fear . I didn't mean I was too afraid to vote but that I will not let fear decide who I vote for. will definitely vote. will definitely not be labour. locally will be green cos we have longstanding good councillors.
nationally I am still not sure but will be as positive as I can about my vote.
then whatever the consequences will just have to battle on with my issue.

Mambury - I'd love to be your PR person!! Get in quick because by December I'll be in demand lol! :rotfl: Sorry still in mini move mode!

Seriously when you are ready (even if it is before you can afford to pay anything!!) please give me a shout - I need customers to help build my confidence in myself and to use as 'look what I did' examples!! So I am sure we can have an IOU or commission kind of agreement... unfortunately I am not into piercings so not sure a service swap works lol!. I understand new businesses need to make money before they can pay money out, so sure we could come up with a solution!!

Lol just have visions of Nixi with about 300 piercings!!

I would refuse to sell a merkin to Katie Price! I used to think she was ok but not recently :-/

I'm going to sound really thick now but do you vote twice - once for local and once for national? I have only ever voted once before which was for Labour for the only reason that they promised to ban fox hunting...prob only promise they have ever kept!
I know it's very sad that I am 38 and only voted once and that is why I'm so confused!

    Hi All,
I have just been to vote and believe it or not there was a queue so it will probably be quite a big turnout this time. It's more or less a one horse race in this town (the tories will never get in). I was tempted to vote Lib Dem but the immigration amnesty is a bit worrying. I think we will all be in for a rough ride whoever gets in though. I shall be staying up tonight to watch.

I don't think everywhere has local elections, mabel. But if you do when you check in at the desk they will give you 2 ballot forms, one white and one green (here, anyway). You select one on the general election form and however many you are told on the local one (sometimes they are electing more than one person to the council) and then put both papers in the same ballot box. Easy peasy.
