    aaaargh.
I am going to vote. I had it all sorted out in my head. I have a very strong reason to vote the way I had decided. probably the most important reason I can think of for now. BUT I find it hard to vote for that party. Really hard.
The problem is there is not one party that I can in all conscience vote for. not even the small parties.
The thing I fear most is labour policies and so a hung parliament scares me.
aargh its really doing my head in right now
I'm not disaffected I'm very involved but its making it impossible cos each option seems like a vote against my conscience.

Jo, we had this dicussion via PM, and I know how you feel. Personally I would trust them as far as I could throw them. I know the issue you are voting on and I think you woulld be better using your vote with either of the bigger parties... ( I am trying to be careful to not let on I know!!). At the end of the day you must vote for the party that best fits your needs and social outlook. I must say it wasn't an easy decision for me, but one I am happy that I have made.....

Amber - in my area (different area to Mabels) we have the main three, UKip, BNP, and green but it is a stauncly Tory area. The only other option here is Lib Dem otherwise a vote for any of the other three are wasted votes IMO.

hey all seems like i started a decent debate going. totally agree with you about going from quiet town to drink and drug fuelled town. its the same here. im lucky the party i voted for has a candidate here and i honestly dont mind what people think here is i voted for BNP and theres quite a few policies i dont agree with of theirs but i believe in national service, death penalty and being treated like i should be in this country (im 25 by the way and 26 in 2 weeks so i would still come under the national service area if they did come to power which is highly unlikely). I mean 2 years ago we were being thrown out of our house as landlord wanted to sell up and no one in housing office could offer us anywhere to stay at all. Even to this day we never got an offer and i was lucky my job at the time overpaid me enabling us to scrape enough money to move. The debt on my DD heads im really worried about as well. I never EVER want to adopt the euro. Just feel disillusioned with all the major parties and i believe that immigration is a major cause of that me. I mean if i went to pakistan, iraq or anywhere else where immigrants come from toour country we would have to abide by their rules so why are they allowed to come over with little or no english have our country their way and get more help. It wouldnt happen if we went over there. Thats just my views. Yes i truely believe by the way drugs laws need looking at as they are not working but the dutch have had 30 plus years now to get it right and we are just not ready to take their way of life and i would truely love it if we could become like them (not just the drugs but their transport is top class as well)

2cats..... I agree with you on making gov departments more efficient.
And as for GCSE's??? I moved here from Ireland when I was 13 from 1st year at secondary straight into the end of year 2 at secondary in UK. So I missed a year of secondary school because of my age. I was sooo bored as I had done higher standards of work at age 11/12. It wasn't until I started GCSE maths that I realised I had already done most of the work when I was 10/11/12 in Ireland!

I;ve hurt my toe! Just to change the subject!!

    My mini move for today:

It's the end of December 2010, there is a white dusting of snow on the ground, enough to look pretty but not bring the country to a stand still!

It has been a very up and down year for me, but overall positive. We had a glorious summer and a fantastic (white) Christmas - everyone is feeling positive about 2011. (and the Dribblers are looking forward to a new challenge!)

My dad is on an even keel, and I am still looking after his finances but have managed to get it sorted so it pretty much sorts itself out. We have sold his car (refusing to acknowledge won't drive again at mo!) and he is happy with his circumstances.

My DD has settled into doing 2 1/2 days at nursery and I am productively using the child free time to build a successful PR business. I have 20 clients, with 8 paying me a retainer for guaranteed services and 12 irregular but loyal customers. The business is turning over £1000-1200 a month. I am coping with working, being a mom and looking after the family home really well :D but concerned how I will cope in the school summer hols!

My children are happy, healthy and enjoying life, as I have relaxed. I am working hard but enjoying it, and not worrying about money (or a lack of it!)

My husband has settled into working for a new company (same job!) and the new management means he is now enjoying it again with little or no stress.

We have a healthy looking savings account, 0 balance credit card, isa's, we are planning to start overpaying a mortgage every month from January and excitedly planning our family holidayS for 2011.

I am finding time to write and have nearly finished my children's book and I am planning to send it out to potential publishers in January.

Oh and my kitchen is finished and looking gorgeous!

So now I need to start working towards it!! Thanks Jo!! I'm feeling really focused....
Life is a work in progress

I hear what you are saying mambury. its just that I know what the stance on my issue is with the other party I could possibly vote for and it is not a stance that I am at all happy with. and whilst I know what you are saying about the party I had chosen I also know that there are very strong individual MPs who have campaigned hard on my issue with the leadership in that party and who seriously get and understand my issue and have really taken it to heart even though it is a minority issue.
I don't think any party has exactly the stance I want but this party is the closest and seems to have understood the issues the best.
But it will still be an issue.
aaargh. I am not going to vote out of fear.Thanks. my mind is made up.
who knows what we will face tomorrow but it will be alright. my issue will still need a lot of work whatever happens.

Immigration was one of the issues I asked the labour Mp about and he side tracked
Im not racist at all, but belive in fairness, which is something that appears to be lacking in this country
