From Trash to Cash: the Dribbling never ends

Morning all,
Hope everyone is well and good. Just got back from putting my vote. Still havent a clue whose going to be in power tonight. Anyone have any theories or thoughts behind it? hope everyone remembers to vote. Someone very wise told me today that remember the media is playing games and vote for the parties policies not the person fronting the campaign. put a lot into perspective for myself. Hows everyone's mini move and challenges going?
Got loads to turbolist and mabel just to let you know havent yet received the wii yes but its still earlier and been only 2 days since it was sent so hopefully by weekend it will be here.
Well done to all with the weight losses:j:jDribbling my way to financial success:j:j

Nope. Even if one franchisee takes on two franchises, they are counted as the same business for VAT purposes. And I was looking at taking on the franchise locally for another product that we do and that would count towards my VAT total (which is why I haven't done it yet) as it would have the same ownership. Way round it would be to have (say) DH and me named on the franchise agreement for the second product and then I'd get another lot of VAT allowance, but he's not keen to do that as it would make his tax uber-complicated. Could do a "partnership" with someone on the understanding that when I sell up the main business I buy out the partner on the second business, but then that relies on trust and someone not completely stuffing you when you came to buy them out.
Actually my December 2010 should also contain "the business is now sound enough after the recession that I will be preparing to put it on the market in the new year". Will break my heart to stop, but I need to move on now, and this should give me a nice lump sum to put to the next move.0 -
why do you need to move on 2cats? what do you want to do next?Life is a work in progress0

They must have thought I was mad in the polling station as I stood there with the pencil hovering for several minutes. Having a last minute crisis of conscience over whether to vote for the party I want to win nationally but a candidate I despise, or not. I eventually decided "or not". Did my own mini protest vote, much good it will do, LOL.0

The biggest bane of my life is staff. We really need to run with 4 staff (including me), so if one person is off because they are ill or their kids are ill or whatever, then it is a big hit. Everyone has to work 33% harder that day, and we work hard enough as it is! I do try to bring in other staff to cover, but many have other part time jobs/commitments and can't help at short notice. There are some staff who are never ever off and others who are off a lot, as in any job.
Then there is all the hassle over their paye and ni and all that palaver. Recruitment is a pain too, although I normally have one or two mums in mind to ask if I suspect someone will go soon. And also there's just simply the wear and tear aspect of loading and unloading all the equipment every day, supporting god knows how many children doing handstands and stuff (many of whom expect you to hold them up rather than do it for themselves!) and it is just knackering. I have pretty permanent tendonitis in my fingers now and a dodgy wrist, and it is from doing this. There are not many days in work when I don't have some strapping somewhere about my person at the moment! I've done it for nearly 10 years now and it's time for someone else to have a go.
I'm toying with buying the other product I mentioned, which is taking a cut down version into preschools and nurseries. Still working with the kids but a boot full of equipment rather than a van load, and just me plus a nursery employee, rather than me employing people.
Other possibility would be training as a TA, which I think I'd be pretty decent at with all this experience, and I'd probably be much in demand to help with PE lessons LOL.0 -
Was just thinking about that HH! they do say 3-5 days for standard parcels so don't panic :-)
got to wait for OH to get home before I can go and vote ( not leaving destructapuppy unattended!)
Still not actually sure who to vote for anyway :-/0 -

I mean i went down and had a mini talk with the people sorting the stuff out about it not being a secret vote etc. just find it unbelieveable that people think voting is secret.:j:jDribbling my way to financial success:j:j

everyone around me knows exactly who I havent voted for - namely as I think he has done a bad job for the past 4 years as PM, and god knows how long as chancellor.
My Vote was between Lib Dems and Conservatives as I refuse to vote for hte racist parties and will not waste my vote on a smaller party as they have no chance of getting the local seat (I live in a area which appears 50/50 split between labour and conservatives....£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!
