Hi Babymoo glad you are still coming and posting on here hun. you know when you said that if people had clothes and stuff to send that ended up being surplus then they'd be sold to raise money instead. does that mean they are having some kind of sale/ fundraiser and is there a date when stuff would need to be there for it. or is that all still undecided?
might have a couple of things that could be sold/ raffled that aren't huge to post

ok NLID at least it wasn't a bill you had forgotten to pay and ended up out of budget for
You did manage to find the things in B and Q within budget.
despite being late for appointmeant you were still seen and it went well.
despite not having broadband you obviously have some way of going on line so you can still come and talk to the dribblers.

They had the broadband back on within the hour of me making the call centre agent cry. (It wasnt intentional).

True, but I dropped it and my nail now resembles a shade of nail polish a goth would wear.

You are definatly the most positive person I have ever met :T

I have a bad day and look back to laugh at it - you look at what could have made it worse to make you feel it werent the worst day ever.

  • NLID - wait for the letter. OH had call centre cry before and a couple of days later there was a letter though the door stating that his behavior was unacceptable, bordering on racist and if he did it again they would stop our account and report him to the police. Funniest thing I ever read!

ETA: He wasn't racist, just asked to be put though to someone who knew what 4 meant. They couldn't get his account number right.

kind of NLID i was just looking at what you said that made it sound so terrible eg evrything that could have gone wrong did. sometimes what we say to ourselves adds to the negativity and makes us feel worse. so I was just wiondering if anything that could go wrong actually went right and found a few things. Thats all.
sometimes we say you always do blahblah or you never do anything nice for me and buying into those exaggerations makes us feel worse not just the other person.
and I am not all that positive its just this forum gives me a wealth of other peoples experiences to ponder and think about and help me find perspectives that I might find harder if it was happening to me. so when things do happen to me I am more likely to react in a way I feel better with than some of my older habits.
besides it can be downright annoying to always be positive I'm surprised no-ones virtually lamped me one yet actually!!!.
negative feelings are really important too as they give us clues about something not being right and needing work. its how we respond to the negative feelings that makes the difference I think.
    there you go lecture over.

  • lol Mrs M, does look a bit silly parked on the drive, but hey, not paying £30 for a new one again.

Cagne - only tip is don't cook the veg to long or it will go soggy :(

Kitchen sparkling, just have to keep it that way now! Hallway and living room next, DD1 sparked out on the sofa, must have been all that whinging (she has been a right pain in the .... today). DD2 bouncing in her jumperoo (best thing I ever bought!), should be able to get a bit done before I have to think about dinner, deliberately doing quick meals tonight and tomorrow, so spag bol it is tonight!

Menu plans are great, been doing them since we were on a serious budget, they really help, plus online ordering means you don't pick up all the naughties like crisps and biscuits cos they aren't there and in your face :D

Even - glad you got a buggy! I ended up getting one from mothercare in the end, not as cheap, but they were on offer, so not too bad.

Ok, I know somewhere I have a few weight watchers cookbooks in the boxes, if anyone wants? Feeling a bit like a touter atm with all these books, but not out for profit, just want to help and get rid :o Oh and veggie, and fish ones. Speaking of veggie, have a few put by for mambury cos I am oh, so organised and forgot to post them :o Really need to get my list sorted and over to everyone.
Me for weightwatcher cookbooks how much PM me
  • Jo - If anyone had spoken to me about how my day could of been worse when i twinged my back muscle - I would probably have tried to punch them lol.

As for why I was lifting an engine - it was to allow me to put it in the box that the wood was for to ship out as I sold it.

Unfortunately I am now in no fit state to make the box as I cant bend down - hope a hot radox bath will recover me later.

Oh and to add to the list - We ran out of toilet paper!

No comment about the loo rolls except you probably couldn't reach anyway!! so how about a bit of scrunched up newspaper on the end of a backscractcher:eek:
    Jo x

ps would never have said things could be worse at the time you actually hurt it. Im usually slightly more helpful than that.lol
