well done Cagne!!! virtual will power on its way!

If you are hungry eat an apple, good for keeping hunger pangs at bay!

just this minute ate one, lol. Now stocking up on a small skinny latte with sweetners where as it used to be a large caramel latte with sugar and chocolate bar.

My 4yr old DD, is a major encouragement in me trying to quit smoking. She said she doesn't want me to get poorly again. Her method for me stopping smoking is simple. When I want one she has told me to 'stop, take a deep breath and think about it'

  • Just flying in and back out folks, hope everyone's well.

I failed miserably in my last attempt to quit the weed Cagne, but good tip is to eat oranges / drink orange juice - it clears the nicotine out quicker ;)

really think it is my sinuses as can now feel it all starting to move around very slowly. which is not a pleasant feeling. maybe it means its starting to loosen up and get better. maybe its getting worse. who knows but should have an idea either way by morning.

  • im lucky in the sense I never smoked. I just drank waaaay too much (As was probably guess based on my knowledge of cocktails on fri night)

I managed to cut out the kebabs - I am now going to find out my real 'empty' weight as I always find thats the best way to work out what you way - rather than after 1 litre flue (about 2lb iirc) as well as all the food you have eaten in your gut and stomach. I always prefer to weigh myself in the mornng.

Morning - had a lovely long lie in thanks to my OH :D.

Now I need to tidy up for a couple of hours and finish the MS reports :(.

Its payday on Friday so I think I'm going to make up a meal plan and plan my shopping from there. Going to start getting more from the butchers etc rather than convenience so hopefully I'll save some money. Although I will be having a sneaky lil chinese on Wednesday cos its my birthday :D!

Jo - if it is your sinuses... don't blow your nose.. Snort... I know this is disgusting but it works. Everytime I get a cold it goes to my sinuses and the doc said if you blow your nose you are compacting the gunk in your sinuses. Have a really hot bath / shower for the steam, and then hold one nostril and snort air in to try and clear your sinuses. You will sound like a builder (LOL!) and it feels yuck when its clearing but by golly it feels better when you've cleared it!

Thanks mambury will give it a go. sinuses are a weakness of mine too. but very occasionally I get it when I have no other symptoms and takes a while to become obvious. these times are when it is just so thick that it is in a big hard lump in my sinuses and doesn't drip or become snotty none goes down my throat or anything. That is when it is really hard to shift. but since last night I am literally feeling movement so hoping its starting to break up a bit. will carry on with the steaming and try out your method too. hope to shift it myself as really try not to use antibiotics.
