What happens when you order a Tesco delivery. I do each month when I want really heavy, bulky stuff.
As previously stated, the green points are not available on home delivery or self-scan tills.
  • It works. On Monday I went shopping with my shopping trolley and got 3 points for it. Check your receipt, the points are on that. :T

I can't do my own shopping at Tesco so I rely on home delivery. As has been said before they put only 1 or 2 items in a bag, so we end up with about 20 bags (which we always give back to the driver the week after because by now we wouldn't be able to get into the front door for bags!) for about £50 worth of shopping.

When I shop locally I always use a proper shopping bag and have an assortment of small cotton bags similar size to carriers.

Tesco could be more 'green' by loading each order directly into one of their big delivery boxes so that bags are not required at all. It would take longer to unpack the shopping though when it gets here.

In the meantime why are home deliveries not receiving the extra reward points because we are helping to save the planet by not using our cars?

Come on Tesco, be fair to us all!

Im sure home delivery man will love me when my £100 tesco shop turns up each week and i make them wait so that i can empty all the bags and get 10 clubcard points!
Saying that though they do ask me for my old bags sometimes or maybe i am mishearing and they are calling me an old bag?!
I do use the bags for the kids lunches as it stops their lunch box(styled like bags) getting all stinky and gross like they usually do.

He'll probably jst laugh at you - GREEN CLUBCARD POINTS are NOT available on Self Service Checkouts or Tesco.com (says in the T's + C's)

    Sorry

Does anyone know how the clubcard points appear on the statement

e.g. If you spent £100 and reuse 10 bags does it show

Clubcard points 100: Green Points 10 or
    Clubcard points 110 or
Clubcard points 100 with some other way of recognising the 10 Green Points?

    It will say:
total points for this shop 110
    including 10 Green points
(i.e. same way as it would with any other extra points - apart from the 'green' bit, of course)
    :)

That is frustrating as my receipt even says bag-reuse, but no mention on the total points.

    Many thanks.

Well went into my local store tonight and was greated with a nice Tesco girl giving out the leaflet explaining about Green clubcard points. Went with my purchases to the till and told the assisstant I would be using my own bag. Checked the reciept no green points. Another trip to CS this really is getting a little old. Anyway still got my points eventually...

first time at tecos today since new green points
notices and leaflets re green points. get to checkout use own bags, not all of them as not a big shop. Only given 2 points although I used 3 bags. Checkout girl said I could have got all my shopping into two bags therefore she decided only 2 points. I used one bag for chilled items, one bag for dog food and one for fruit and veg I dont like to mix things up. I have emailed tescos as to their policy re amount in bags will keep you posted. Has this happened to any one else
