    Hi peeps,

sorry i haven't been out, this weekend has been hectic. Been sorting out car insurance etc .will read back from page 27 to catch up with you all x

Anyway tried the risi e bisi:
Me :- thought it was okay, just didn't taste right at all. ( We love dried mushy peas, so its definitely not them)
    DS2 ; -too mushy , baby food
    DS1 : - didn't taste right
OH: - hasn't tried it yet ( but he loves the carrot cake!:money:)

Anyway so that's one meal off the cards, but there's enough to freeze for another meal/half meal with something else in the month.
Got loads of pate in the freezer frozen, so none of its gone to waste.

Thanks guys-I was a bit worried you would think it was a bit ego-centric to post pics once I had done it.:o But im so pleased and I really wouldnt be able to do any of this without you guys answering my questions!!!:)

Frankie-I'm finding the lunches/breakfasts a bit harder too as it not stuff I fancy so much. I like my ham sandwiches :) but the soup will stay!!

Shanks-I dont think two meals will ever look the same! My two bread loaves made and baked at the same time dont :rotfl:

ISOM-its nice to have you here supporting and offering words of advise, If the youtube doesnt show a flaw in my technique I will try more bread recipes I think.

Weezl-I hope you are not working too hard on the website and if you have any piccies of your darling boys I'm sure it would motivate us a bit more if we saw them :D

Weezl or allegra or someone else equally clever. What is all the chicken for?

Did the family of four have one chicken? If so that means I will have extra, Im just wondering because I seem to have a surplus and wondering if/when mr artybear asks for a chicken sandwich is he allowed? Or I can add it in the pasta-just dont want it to go to waste really.

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

DH asked for a chicken sandwich last night. He wasn't allowed one. I love your photos. The pies look scrummy.

We have had lovely bacon and onion pudding tonight. All liked it and I had a tiny piece. The quantity of potatoes was good for my hungry workers.

I have tried the Paul Merret bread recipe without using the breadmaker tonight. It was far too difficult for me to knead so I tried it in the food processor. I think that over two pounds of flour is too much for the food processor and it started to come out of the funnel on the lid.:rotfl::rotfl:

It was too hot for soup for lunch today so we will probably have it tomorrow.

I had a try at making twinks with oil in place of buttter. They were very crumbly and mainly fell apart. Has anyone else tried them with oil?

    Hello Good Morning everyone

Another lurker here, though I don't actually count myself as one. Although I'm not contributing to your quest (I've posted once or twice) I have all these conversations with you all in my head.

I'm not able to do this because work totally gets in the way of just about everything I want to do and DH is nightshift all the time too. One thing it has done though is encourage me to try the odd thing. I'm a home cook type person anyway but it's added a new sting to my bow in that, although I don't cook what you cook when you cook it, I do feel involved in a wee way when the flour is flying:)

Why am I popping up again? Oh yes, to ask if someone could look at the link for the Bread of Heaven? Probably me being a big old silly but I can't find it. I've a day off today so fancy giving the old suet pie and bread of heaven a whizz. My old mum gave me her BM and I'm actualy enjoying the fruits of that labour (though not aesthetically pleasing, v tasty)

Hiya fletch - if you go to weezl's blog (click her username and then visit her homepage), it's on there.

For some reason the onion tart gets better every time I make it! No idea why, but last night was the third time and definitely the best batch.

    Love the photos, arty!

Thanks Aless02, I did as you suggested, clicked on month's recipes and unfortunately it still comes up the same thing.

I've gone over to the right though and it has archive recipes. Is it the same as No Need to Knead bread? I might just be talking at cross purposes (which I can do).

Hey ho, my brain can't be engaged yet this morning. :o
