DH had a quick word with someone in the water quality dept, and came up with this:

The Drinking Water Inspectorate is a good place to start for such info. In respect of Veolia our website has a function where you can put your postcode in and it gives you hardness and fluoride levels. Links as follows:

http://www.dwi.gov.uk/ (think this is the same as the one Julimk posted)

    https://central.veoliawater.co.uk/water-quality-fluoride.aspx

Finally you can ring up your local water company and ask for a copy of a “Water Quality Report (Schedule 4)” which would give info on water content.

and lastly, very important: When are people available for coming to London? Weezl has mentioned the weekend of August 21/22 as being good for her - how do others feel? Weezl, is there another option open for people?

We really need to get a date set ASAP so people can buy cheap train tickets, etc.

Poo... I'm not sure I can make it then... :( Its Edinburgh festival & Fringe then and my friends have booked tickets for either the Friday or the Saturday that weekend - not sure which. :( Its to celebrate my birthday so I can't really not go! :p

That would also mean 4 trips to London in 9 weeks () which I'm not sure I can afford either! (I should point out I've only been to London twice in my life so this is not normal! :rotfl:) I'll be there on the 1st Aug, ~5th Sept, and somewhere between the 27th Sept and 10th Oct (prob w/end of 2/3 Oct) I was hoping one of them would coincide with the IWM meet...

When would you be meeting up ... the Saturday or the Sunday or both? AM or PM or all day?

taka, is up to ms weezl. I am merely the coordinator...though i can imagine it would be most of the day, with some people coming and going as they need.

  • Entirely unrelated to the thread but I just got a new electricity monitor and I have to say Oh My God. Bad washing machine.

Have been running around the house looking for things to turn off. Terrrifying.
