I akways forget they're different. UK data is fine with me since the majority of us are in the UK.
But I would also love to know where you get your nutrition amounts just because I always end up using nutrition data and, as you point out, it uses US amounts and I want to see the difference!0 -

they were defined in the 60s and if anything should be lower now for obvious reasons.

I will do. Have just started teaching myself maths for fun and I'm quite enjoying it. Never understood maths in school but it's all starting to make sense now. I'm such a dork.0

I just wanted to add a proviso that I am not completely buying into the 'one size fits all approach of the RDAs but they are a good basis to go on when looking at a typical population.
main reason for this, I have had 2 sons, with the same dad weighing just a heaped tablespoon of sugar difference at birth, and fed them identically. Aptamil formula, the exact amout shown on the box in each 24 hr period.
Fergie was on the 50th for height and the 75th for weight at the same point as kessie was above the 91st for height and just above the 9th for weight.
Go figure!
Our bodies will do whatever they like with the nutrients we give them eh?

I think the RDA average is the only way to do it or you would be calculating every possible weight/height and the best nutrients for it...and that's just ridiculous reallyIn art as in love, instinct is enough

thank you - i shall have a look at those. Never used tamarind before though. I know its cheap, just scared of things i've not tried before incase i don't like them and then I can't eat the dish.

Weezl on the panzanetta recipe it says For the filling above the ingredients. I assume this is not needed, as its not a filling for anything.

its ok twinkle star, you won't get vit a poisoning. Vit A is only in animal foods and can easily be overdosed which is not good. But for vegans, we make vit A from beta carotene and only make what we need, so no need to worry.
