ps no, as I'm looking more at it that can't be right...

ok one example of my confusion is walnut spread, that's now reading 3 batches. Why's that? :)

I'm wondering if it may be better to go live for kitty without all the costs, just of the meals and without the calories etc, just so's she's got something, a bit like what Shirley had when we first published that?

What do people feel about that as an idea?

  • Weezl, I was wondering if you or anyone here might be able to answer this nettle related question :)

I was going to try replacing spinach in a recipe with some nettles but was wondering if I have to boil them to lose their sting, or whether it would be sufficent to just pop them into the pan (of curry for instance) and cook through until wilted?

they need about 3-4 mins at a slow boil heat to lose their sting, so in with your curry should easily achieve that :)

which of the above lunches would people swap for 2 pasta salads and 5 red lentil pates for max varietiness? xxx

I've squeezed both pasta salads and 4 of the lentil pates in. I'm struggling a bit with Lentil Pate number 5. To squeeze pate number 5 in means a repeat lunch in a week or else losing too many of the other lunches I think.

Oops I think I may have missed the point Weezl. Was I supposed to remove one or two of the other lunch options from the menu completely and replace them with the pasta and lentil pate? Sorry. If so will do again.

so if I keep one back as a snack, how does that then seem to you variety wise? And thanks loads for doing it :D

I think keeping one back as a snack for hollow-legged teenage boys would be a good plan.

There should also be a few spare houmous portions for snacks too.

Have finally caught up with the thread so hopefully I'll be around to help out a bit now
