Allegra's fine, ta You oughta acknowledge the MSE cast of characters, too, cos although I compiled the list, many have selflessly contributed ideas for Shirl :A 0 You oughta acknowledge the MSE cast of characters, too, cos although I compiled the list, many have selflessly contributed ideas for Shirl :A 0

Allegra I would suggest you've done it the right way...unfortunately as we got more flush I bought into the idea that we needed to spend more. It is much trickier going backwards 0 0

My lot just love meat because my DH didn't have any growing up and was fed mainly on a vegetarian/vegan diet. He was forced to eat buckwheat regularly which i don't mind but to him its the stuff of the devil. He even shudders at the thought of them. Me, i turned vegetarian at 9, vegan by 10 and lived quite happily till i met my now DH, at 16yrs by seventeen slowly started eating meat. Now i could easily go back to being a vegetarian any time of the day.
For the past couple of years our meat consumption has dropped dramatically thanks to me finding out about red lentils,so what my DH doesn't know is all the better for me.:D
 Pate update.
Liver - DS2 can't stand, nearly made him throw up he said its baby food. DS1 "its not the same as the shops one". I personally can't stand liver but can just about eat pate.
Tangy bean- DS2 said its nicer than the brown one, DS1 wasn't impressed. I liked this, as its one i used to make myself as a child, but next time i will add a bit more chilli to mine.
I knew DS2 wouldn't like because of the texture, but it was worth a try.
 carrot cake
DS1 :- finally something nice to eat  cheeky get
DS2: -yummy yummy to then the sounds of nom nom nom as he demolished it and wanted more.
Me : -the raisins were juicy and you could really taste the orange.
OH: -no idea, he's at work.0

thanks kezlou that's really useful feedback what a star for trying it out! what a star for trying it out!
shanks, Was thinking about you not having your tea and biccie last night, so have got my act together and finalised the biscuit recipe with many thanks to boodle, kaz2902 and sian the green, for each of their amendments. It is at the usual place, and please don't laugh at my kitsch cookie cutters
Arty/allegra please could you add these to your fab lists. I think the batch makes 41 biscuits and we make it twice during the month, so that's 82 in the month

 aaah, cute little biccies
the blog is looking great. Easy to find stuff I think
do we need to have the other snacks listed on the meal planner, saying they are to be eaten on an ad hoc basis?0

 Hiya lesley
Errm, did you mean not in a snacky option one and snacky option 2 way like on allegra's list, or did you mean put somewhere seperately all of it's own?
I'm up for either, as is most helpful.:)
the new features on the spreadsheet, shall I hold off from further tweaks to my version until you've had a chance to look at adding the new features? It's just that I'd like to finalise a few of the things using up leftovers, but don't want to do that if that'll make migrating to your new version tricky! No hurry though:) No hurry though:)

poohbear, Thinking about the lads not liking porridge, I found this recipe for you, which would use the hot oaty cereal so your men would get their vits, one egg from your girls and everything else is on the list you bought, you'll just probably need one more bag of SR flour over the month
but I hope it helps you,
 Love from Weezl x

weezl I'm doing ok on the 3rd day, though I'm aware that I've been supplementing with 'leftovers' that have been around the house.
These should be all gone by next week.
It's looking like I may be just cooking for DH and I this evening so I may go off plan just cause pastry etc feels a bit of a faff for just the 2 of us.
I hope everyone else id holding up well 0 0

found a bit of an inconsistency when looking at mine. Have found a way around it now, but it means I haven't started plugging the changes into the project sheet yet.
I am off to Mum's in Northampton tomorrow to spend her birthday with her, so as you have changes you want to do, I think it would be easier if you do your twiddles and whizz it over again when you are done. Just let me know when you can be without it for a couple of days - it takes a while to put everything in!
Edit - I have had another look at the meal planner on the blog, but I can't see the snacks other than the carrot cake which is on each day. Am I looking in the wrong place?0
