yes, I was teasing. You have spent such a lot of time on this that just wouldn't have been possible if you were being a wage slave

I have just emailed a mate who works at the CAB sometimes asking if he was involved with people in debt crisis and if it would be alright for him to mention the site, and sent him the link so he could have a look

I am hoping something could be put up somewhere in their office about it

Ooooh thanks for recommending to your CAB friend :)

I'd love it if ever this provided anything to be a wage slave to, like a little frugal recipe book or something, but I think realistically that you have to be Jamie or Delia to have a recipe book be successful.

:footie: Anyone a football widow for the next few weeks?

    Me, miss !

Weezl - I would go with the additional tab. I'll look at and think about the tab situation when I get home, because of course all the additional tabs would not be much good for people with li'l screens if they could not see them.... But I do think that additional recipes should be listed separately.

:o I'm sorry all, my conscience is giving me a hard time about that joke I made about being an SAHM and doing this.

It was a silly joke and doesn't reflect what I actually think about being a mum at home at all.

    I apologise. :)

You'd be surprised, Weezl. Big issue with this is that so much of the appeal of the planners rests on the passers-by being enticed by your beautiful visuals.... But the production costs of the beautiful visuals would make the final product way out of reach of the people that most need it.

    Bloody unfair, isn't it ?

you mean, shirley wouldn't buy the book cos it'd cost £19.99 to be all glossy and full colour and everything, and that would defeat the point!

Yep, totally. Jamie's Ministry of Food and Economy Gastronomy got masses of stick for charging as much as they did for the books, and those books were a) not even aimed at the readership as financially challenged as Shirley, and b) the publishers could actually afford massive reductions on their cover price knowing they would sell in huge numbers on the back of the TV series.

I've been costing up some of the meals from the ministry of food book and just one example, his chilli is nearly £3 a head (shirl's is 45p)

I'm making chilli next week - I'll have to price it up now.
