    the colours:

    red, ie tomato/red pepper
    white, ie onion, celeriac
    yellow/orange, carrot, sweetcorn, BNS
    blue/purple, red cabbage, raisins
    green, peas, runner beans, celery

We have had something like this before and it is really delish. The key is the spices though, wonder what it would be like with garam

You could have a base of onions and tomatoes and then roast some carrots/ squash, add raisins, maybe yellow/green pepper, parsnips would be delish but not spread out the colour, somethink like spinach might be nice... Mmm, hungry now, I love a good tagine!
God is good, all the time

ah but patience is a virtue that a weezl must learn!

sian that looks splendid, thanks :)

I'm also thinking that a calzone with spinach and roasted BNS perhaps with our oozy bechamel sauce would be a 4/5 recipe?

Cowboy hotpot would be a good rainbow recipe - it contains onion, sweetcorn, carrots, green beans, baked beans and potatoes. I'll put costing it out on my to do list for next week....

sian, looking at that recipe, they're counting red onions as a blue/purple, but other sites aren't calling it that...

erm, anyone good at nutrition researching, like susan/murrell/morag, are you able to help with anything definitive on which family it counts as?

ok quite an important question, as this will affect the way we build the next phase of the website, and it will be pretty difficult to backtrack and do it differently if wrong!

so are people saying that they'd like planners to offer 2 options, kitty and shirley, then recipes offers kitty and shirley's recipes all in a giant table, then another tab saying 'more recipes' with everything else underneath it?

will this not seem a little weird if you just popped on for a recipe? Like 'eh? recipes, and more recipes? I just wanted to look at all your recipes!'

do you see what I mean?

or, do we build it so that kitty and shirley's recipes lists are under their planners section, and recipes is then a full master list of all our recipes?

Do people follow what I'm asking?

Please don't just say 'yes weezl that's fine' if you're not quite picturing what I mean, cos this is likely to represent a month's work :eek:that I'd really rather not do wrong!:)

I was imagining another tab called 'additional recipes for 80p a day living' or something like that, that made it clear these were not mealplanner recipes but additional offerings

I can see how you could build the site with lots of diff ways of organising the data on it, but I don't see that you have to change anything from where it is now. Well not quite anything, but you know what I mean, I hope

The premise of the site is meal planners detailing how to live on xp a day. ''In addition, we have these lovely recipes that will fit the xp, but have not been collected into a plan and you need to make your own decision on the nutrition for your circumstances''
