"Sadly", I don't have any :p Moving swiftly on.....

Right, I have attempted to update the list of months' meals with the quantities, but I am unsure if I got everything - Frankie, I understand you've been keeping notes, would you mind having a look and see if there are any howlers there ? The list is here.

Oh, and Weezl - how many batches of bread in the month ? Sorry if you said already, I couldn't find it anywhere :o

:Dshirley needs a degree in maths to understand my random brain!

She uses 10 bags of bread flour to make 10 batches of 4 loaves of bread each time. Each loaf yield 16 slices, making 640 slices for the month which is more than 5 slices per person per day. I'm hoping the month will reveal this to be a generous amount, because it would be handy to have the pennies back to make other recipes a bit better, but we shall see!

Allegra shall I add all that maths to the bread of heaven post at the usual place?

I like your additions to the post earlier, saying about 2 snacky options. Because of the mixed praise for the cereal bars and the difficulty with eating the cheeseballs cold, I'm inclined to think the scone path is the way to go :) But I think it's fine to state both and then people have choices!

    xx

weezl I have been assuming the portioning was for 4 and adding extra, but thanks for the reminder ;)

    I have a DD 16, DD 15, DS 12, DD 11

My DS probably needs more than my DD's as he is on a major growth spurt and cycles etc.

The flim-flam on the scones sounds nice, though when talking to my son yesterday, he thought that he wouldn't bother with a spread on them.

'Tis there, hidden on the snacks list, but you make a very good point - needs to be more prominent as it's such a crucial snack and the only one that features on the daily planner !

Oh, BTW, I just had my breakfast. That apple curd is so nice :j

Allegra I've emailed you the current full spreadsheet in case that helps :) The questions you are exploring are fab, I think they are making things much clearer for all the testers. If there's a way you can think of that we can make other parts of the enormous spreadsheet more easily viewable by the testers, I'm open to that! We'll keep putting it on the workspace too as it gets updated :)

    I made the porridge today.

I'm not a porridge fan but I found it ok.

    Eldest DD liked it

Youngest DD didn't so I'm going to have to give her toast every morning.

    Youngest DD's friend liked it.

DS is still in bed so I'll let you know :)

We'll be back on the plan proper tomorrow.

arty- did you ask mr arty about borrowing his coffee beans grinder for those nuts and seeds? A friend of mine used hers to grind little batches of them and then combined the nut powder with oil afterwards. It was hard to scrape it out afterwards though, and you do need to use washing up liquid to shift the natural nut oils from inside the grinder so Mr arty's would have to have a removable bit for easy washing :)

Or maybe you have bought a blender from argos by now! :rotfl:
