weezl, might be my browser (FF) but on the nutrition FAQs, the background image weirdly ends before the bottom of the page (as in, the bottom panel isn't showing up). New features are amazing!!

(I'm lazy and use a WYSIWYG editor 95% of the time and if there's little tweaks to be done, I'll go and look at the backend code to see if I can fix it by hand. But I haven't web-edited in ages so this before the days of fancy Flash & Java and I'm totally useless at CSS. And for work we use an idiot-proof WYSIWYG professional editor for people who nothing about web editing :D)

P.S. is that a typo that the veggie burgers have 30g of fat?!

    Thanks sian :)

Did you have a nice lie in?

Would you like to write any more recipes? :D

Oh my goodness, I didn't get my lie in at all! I was round at some friends until 2:30, 2 lads who are emotionally constipated yet strangely sweet and who I spend a lot of time with. I got home and found someone had locked the door and left the key on the inside so I couldn't get in so I was stood at the door with 2 bags of stuff and a cake that I had made, and had to call the housemate whose birthday it is today and who the cake was for to come and let me in at 3am. Oops. Then I had to get up at 9:30 so that I could make her birthday pancakes (with 50p tesco pineapple cooked on the griddle pan, nom nom). Am a little exhausted to be honest! That's 3 nights in a row with about 5 1/2 hours sleep, and I don't even have kids!

What do you mean about writing more recipes? I would like to definitely, but may need more parameters. I mean I made a Sophie Dahl chocolate cake last night, but that wouldn't really be plan friendly and used far too much equipment for my liking :D

When I said you were talented, I didn't mean JUST at photography!

And in terms of pictures, I think the pate and nut butter look really good, especially the bean one. The ones with more colour in immediately attract me, so for example, the soups don't draw me in as much as the pastas, I think because of the colouring of the food. With things like the savoury bites and savoury scones you have a little sliver of colour of the work surface or whatever you have rested the plate on, which counters the colour and makes it 'pop'. I think the red pepper tart is my favourite picture.

    it's white...

Month 1 shopping list does it too. I wonder if it's just my computer not loading that image?

    poor tired sian :(

I mean, if I sling you a list of ingredients and a title, can you make it sound more like a recipe? :rotfl:I've made them, I just can't make my brain spell it out like a recipe!

    Mais oui madame!

Put the cheese rinds down and have a nap :)
I can't because naps to me turn me from my usual sweet self to someone resembling a rabid bear who has been poked incessantly with a pointy stick for several hours, it isn't pretty

    chicken lasagne?

I have never heard of such a thing!

    Hi Weezl et al

I'm a regular lurker here and love the recipes and website lots! I'm delurking because of the comment above about chicken lasagne...

A favourite in my house is chicken and bacon lasagne which is basically a couple of chopped rashers of bacon (or a handful of cheap cooking bacon chopped into lardons), some garlic and a couple of chopped onions gently fried off until the bacon is cooked. Throw a couple of tins of chopped tomatoes, a chicken stock cube and a handful of sliced peppers (frozen sliced peppers work well...they are much cheaper than fresh). Depending whats in the fridge I also add mushrooms/grated courgette/carrots/etc at this stage too. Simmer gently until sauce has thickened. Add some chopped leftover roast chicken and simmer for a few more minutes.

Layer in a lasagne dish with either a white (flour/butter/milk) or cheese sauce, finish with a layer of white/cheese sauce. Sprinkle with a little cheese. Cook for approx 45 minutes (or whatever it says on the lasagne pkt). Remove from oven and leave to stand for 5 minutes.

I usually serve this with a side salad and some homemade bread.

We like this as it has a tomato based sauce rather than the usual white sauce you find in chicken and mushroom lasagnes.

    Hope that helps

    Keep up the fantastic work!

    70g sugar
    heaped teaspoon garam masala
    60g creamed coconut

enough water to bring it together like a sloppy rice pudding :)

    chicken lasagne?

I have never heard of such a thing! Let me know how it goes?

Is chocolate cream pie a bit like a chocolate cheesecake?

Thanks all for your kind thoughts of yesterday :)

Oh chicken lasagne is the dish i trot out at any occassion as it looks good, tastes great and is so easy to make i could do it in my sleep.
The chocolate pie has a biscuit base and its like a chocolate custard then topped with lashings of whipped cream and dusted with grated choc. Not very frugal granted but dammed fine. There is plenty if you want to come up for a piece. As i said earlier i cant cook small amounts in case anyone was still hungry.
Have fun with your visitors and we will see you again on Mon. I start night shift then so will pop on and let you know what i still have on my to-do list and you can then let me know if you have done some or want to do them whilst i am adjusting to job. xx
