I have the pastry in the fridge now. Came together ok. I did use 50ml of oil by mistake as I wasn't looking clearly at my scribble and ended up seeing the 50 bit from the onion line! Anyway should be ok, but of course if it works ok, I will try again with right amounts.

Is the oregano dried or fresh? I won't be actually using oregano. I have dried mixed herbs or I can pick from the garden either parsley, sage or chives. Not sure which one to go with, any ideas?

    Dearest secretary shankles :)

please can our list also keep a note of who's doing what? So we have sian the email, allegra batch guide, lesley the nutrition spreadsheet, susan the google geek, poohbear the recipe simplifier, sallygirl, jenny et al the editors, morag the link-maker, pinkhayley leftovers and so on...?

If people feel they have been ignored in the above link please pop up indignantly, and say 'and me I was doing the ...!'

OK and another tasklet before I nip out, would anyone be willing to trawl back for where our recipes have received really nice feedback, and get me a few quotes to put on the recipe pages? (or even quotes about money saved which could go on the costings page...)

Now then potty, loveliest potty, I know you want to help shirley too! I know you are testing recipes with the biddies which is fab :) What else might you like to have a stab at? Oh yeah, I could really do with knowing how much calcium is in asda smartprice kidney beans, ie the bit they add as a firming agent, it will help to know if we need to include the 'bean juice' in shirl's veggie burgers!

The othere thing, but you'd have to be your best cheeky self to see if you can get away with it, would be to show asda the site, and explain that we have 25,000 page hits within a fortnight of launching(ie so they can see it's popular), but that doing the testing is costing us (well definitely me!) a fair bit of cash, and would they be willing to give us a few free boxes of things like the oaty cereal since we're having to experiment such a lot with it.

tell me to bog off if you think that's too cheeky :)

oregano is dried, so perhaps the nearest thing might be the dried herbs, but they can be a bit funny tasting, so am happy for you to go with fresh. Think sage might be nice, in moderate amounts, since sage and onion is a popular stuffing flavour...

PS feeling a bit like I ought to justify myself about the above asda request. I hope people don't think that's unintegrous of me, it's just that the site has cost me above the £300 mark now, and while I don't begrudge it at all, it just seemed a way of not going too over budget :o

    now JulieMK also volunteered :)

So I know you are good at detail julie... How are you at spreadsheets? Do they fry your brain!?

The other task that's a possibility would be to pop shanks excellent list of the cooking and prep times into the spreadsheet that my dad is using which will mean shirley will be able to rank the recipes according to cooking time, which is (I think) a fab feature for a busy shirley...

Anyhoo, let me know if you'd fancy that job, or if not if there's sommat else?

Oh and shanks, I forgot we need to add that wyebird is having a think about the nutrition pages, and CBM is thinking about an interactive questionnaire...

I'm sure there's more :o Oh I think art is costing the bob and shirl shopping list at today's prices too...
