hurro!! Weezl not quite sure what you are saying re planners (sorry being particularly dull!) ...do you mean hold fire on 2 &3 and wait to see who it would benefit? Im in two minds on this as concious how much time this is all taking for all involved in getting the planners out but alo aware that with all 3 recipe types on the webby that people will have more to pick from - ie wont necc follow planner one but pick and choose from all 3 IYKWIM? Having said that I also think there is mileage in going slower to give people time to absorb/do what is there now...tricky innit?!

Awwww thanks Aless, that's so cool you menioned it on your blog!
FB could be a possibility I guess, I suppose I was just imagining that we might start to help some of the shirleys on MSE first if we were going to help anyone... Just because people are on here already because they WANT to save lots of money... Rather than FB where, it's not necessarily their aim.
I dunno, am I the only one who feels that way? (ie MSE as first measure of 'success')

weezl, I have previously linked to your website on my blog but as it's only friends & family, I wouldn't expect the moon.
We could be really tech savvy and spread the word via Facebook - would be very good for the student crowd...
I was thinking of students via Facebook but wasn't sure what to suggest. You younger peoples have probably got a better grip on these things than me.
Maybe weezl plugs it on MSE and we do an extra via family and friends on FB?business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I probably haven't made this very clear before, sorry.
I won't be able to link to the site on MSE because I own the site.
Some people get given permission to link to their own site, but I imagine it takes quite a while. I wrote last week asking how to go about it, but no answer yet.
I'm not suggesting I remove the website, it's obviously attracting visitors via google, frugal living forums and so on, I know this from the stats.
It's just that since there are shirleys reading MSE forums right now (I feel) who could save a lot of essential cash using the planner 1 which is already out there (I feel).
But until I see if these feelings are more borne out in reality, I can't justify carrying on at the pace I have been. I have spent 600 hours on the website, not including nutritional research. This is matched by the hits on the site, so I don't currently feel I've over-invested in the project.
If I were to do 600 more hrs, but didn't land up helping proportionally more shirleys, it may not have been worth the time.
Is that making any more sense at all?
(I am not moaning by mentioning the hours, I'm just not sure if people would understand my reasoning for pausing if I didn't spell that bit out)

Thats me!!! Im a student!!! I do studenty things like spending hours on facebook!!
However no idea how you would go about spreading the message
How are you planning on advertising it to the MSE crowd? A post on Old Style maybe?

oooooh good luck with your deadline arty!:T:T:T
I'm not planning on advertising the site at all.
I'm just going to quietly wait and see if I should invest more time.
I hope people understand my thinking on that from my posts above?
But I think I'm not saying very clearly, sorry

hi all, the milk was so that shirl could have 3-4 double dunked cups of tea each day. A very small amount is used in cooking (onion tart)
obviously if not a tea drinker, she can lose it all together, buy one more box of ready brek and then do whatever she likes with the rest of the money saved.
Full fat is for:- needing less to go in the tea (people will just use more skimmed milk in tea, they have a colour they like it usually)
- more energy
- no need to reduce fat in the diet, so why buy a more expensive product to do this (more expensive to deliver the same energy/tea milkiness I mean)
does this answer the question?
It does, thank you!
(I think I will tweak this one for myself. I don't like full fat, I use 1%, and don't mind reducing the fat/energy cos I is a fat birdand 1% is cheaper at around £1 for 4 pints)

Promotion on OS, what about DFW? (that board scares me so I don't go)
Facebook would be relatively easy - someone (doesn't even have to be weezl if she doesn't mind giving up administrative control) sets up a "page" on Fbook and then we can all "like" it and share it on our profiles which will also show up on our friends' news feeds.
If we could get a mention in the weekly e-mail that would be ace, but no idea how to go about it. I would think it's the sort of amazing stuff Martin is looking for, but we'd have to be lucky enough for it to get through the prolly 1000 emails they get suggesting things for it.
eta: weezl, you or someone has to advertise it a little bit otherwise Shirleys will never see it. In order to determine whether it's useful to Shirleys we have to get at least a little word out IYSWIM?top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!
