There is a method in my madness. The position I'm applying for is in a totally different department, would flex a small amount of my skill set rather than the skill set of an amoeba, pays a just about liveable wage, is close to home and, actually, if I got it, I shouldn't have too much problems getting promoted up quite quickly

I've just stalled on how to demonstrate I have the essential personal quality of tact and diplomacy.

I almost wrote "well, I call a spade an effing shovel and if they don't do what I say I knee them in the nuts"

I AM diplomatic (wrote Soappie) for, were I not I would have written that I call a spade an effing shovel and if that doesn't work THEN i resort to using physical means of encouragement. But, because I am diplomatic, I actually haven't written that...instead I am showing you that what goes through my mind is heavily tempered before it comes out of my mouth. I am direct, but resourceful and mindful of the sensitivities of others.

Now how I managed THAT having just been on blimmin comparison sites for car unsurance I dunno...off to visit some meercats now
