Well, I've had a busy hour or so tidying my bedroom. DD1 saw that I'd left my post up on the screen with my list so came upstairs to "help me turn the bed and things". Bless her. She helped clear the rest of the floordrobe, strip the bed and vacuum...so a big :T to her. And when we came downstairs she made me a drink too.
Anyway....

Please may I have my first star in ages Toots?
GnB...have you got enough time to leave the studying for today? I find that if I get like that I leave it overnight and it all seems clearer the next day.0 -
Congrats Pigpen and family, what lovely news!
Could someone give me an update on Diva, has she gone into hospital? I missed so much of the end of the last thread and beginning of this I'm a bit out of touch
Valli, I've met Dame Judi but not got her autograph! Go you!
Well, the electric man came at 2:15. So much for 8-1! I wasn't very happy about it and nearly sent him away to come back another time but he was very nice and was upset because he got lost. He said it would only take 15 mins, so I said ok then.
Well, he's still here. At 4pm. Our electrical system is very out of date apparently and not well configured. There are two fuse boxes (there should only be one), and he changed the meter and reconnected the first fuse box before he came into the flat. The second fuse box shouldn't be there and he's not sure if he's allowed to reconnect it. It controls the hot water heater, so we may not have hot water. The other thing is that someone fitted a timer to the meter, so that at a certain time in the night our water heater comes on. Apparently, the timer shouldn't be there, and can't be fitted to the new meter, so the landlord needs to have one fitted to the water heater itself,so we don't have to get up in hte night to turn the water heater on to get cheap electricity.
Lettings Agency are in a right stink over it, the electrician is stressed, I'm stressed, Tim is stressed.
After several phone calls to his company and colleagues, the electrician didntknowwhat to do so hewent to sit in his car.
Nowhe's come back and said he can fit the second fuse box, and the meter has a timer on it - his colleague has told him how to do it all.

Thanks all.. xx
I am finding it so hard to resist buying just one item of the relevant colour..
DD1's curtains in the washing machine turning red.. they are VERY red at the moment!
Her bedroom needs a couple of things moving out and I need to think about carpet! It is a very small room thankfully!
I am looking at getting my room decorated before squeak arrives so we need to get a shifty on.. DD1's room WILL be done today.. next week will be spent shifting stuff out of my room.. I have no idea where to!! And Thursday I have another scan to check the spine.. he was laid in an awkward position so they couldn't get a picture of the full length only in 3 bits, and I want to nip to Ikea one day too.. though that might wait until the week after.. it is only for drawers for the boys and a couple of desks so no real urgency. I promised my friend we would go for dinner Wednesday too...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I have decided to apply for a full time job with the academic outfit I'm temping for at the moment (in a different office of course!).
I've started on the application form but boy, it's going to take me HOURS to complete
~sigh~
