    *yawns and stretches*

Morning all! Just decluttering marmite on toast and a cup of coffee having woken up ten minutes ago. The extra long sleep seems to have done me good, I think I can cope with the world today without dissolving!

AND the children haven't completely destroyed the downstairs of the house having been on their own since they got up (OH still on silly shift :( ).

AND the sun is shining so I can get out in the garden.

AND we're taking the dog on a very long walk when I've done a load of washing.

*nods* this will be a good day :D

Off to read back for a bit. Hugs to all who need them x

Sunshine - all windows open - little pink migraleve doing its job and dh and kids have gone out - and goign for a cuppa with a good friend at 2pm.

So far have unloaded car of all carp (tonnes), set up new credit card and transferred ridiculous balance across from current one. Now time to start on lists and schoolwork.

SHOUT if you see me on here before 9pm tonight - it means I am lounging and I aint got time - weather forecast is for lovely and sunny at the weekend and I don't want to be stuck in working.

    Hi all;

Started skim-reading the thread a couple of hours ago, but have interspersed it with doing other things, so only now getting around to posting.:o

Not sure how Flying will work today; many of the items on today's list don't apply here, but I do want to get the spare room up to scratch.

Also complicated by Mr LW working from home today *rolleyes*.

I hope everyone's having a good *checks calendar* Thursday; special posi-vibes to Toots, LadyL, Diva and Dusty'sDS. And of course to anyone else who needs them today.

Onwards and upwards - if I can persuade Pandora to get off my lap!:D

To be fair, most first aid kits don't have life-saving equipment in them (generally dressings, plasters etc) and those that do require a knowledge of first aid and the techniques you should use otherwise you risk making things worse. If you DO see an accident and are first on the scene, the best thing you can do is to call 999 and follow any instructions they give you. Even doctors and paramedics sometimes need the fire service in attendance (kazm is probably aware of the instructions that were given out to those attending emergencies during the last fire brigate strike, and they weren't pleasant) in order to be able to provide medical assistance.

So maybe a car charger for a mobile phone would be a good idea?
Obviously obey what ever advice the emergency operator gives out when you phone 999, but if they want you to help someone who is bleeding heavily, having dressings to hand would be the best option. And those silver blanket things that come in first aid kits would be good for someone with shock as body temperature can drop a lot when in shock, and this can be dangerous too. That was the kind of thing I meant, not anything requiring much skill or equipment.

Still waiting for the meter people. They have 1 hour 40 mins to get here.
    Car charger, brilliant idea!

Dusty, toasted cheese sarnie = YUM! Might have that myself!

Pollyskettle, I'm ok thanks, just overly tired and increasingly grumpy as a result! How are you?
