Advice for young car owners I think the best gift you can give him is to get someone to show him how to check the
1. tyre pressure - don't need to buy a pencil gauge or pump, use garage ones.
2. oil, and how to refill carefully with the right oil, explain the risks of driving without enough oil (worst case cracked cylinder head, bye bye car)
3. water and coolant/antifreeze and the risks of taking the lid off when its hot!
4. Tyre tread depth, to avoid getting fined, and keep safe.
Sorry, not quite the answer to your Q, but everyone else answered that so comprehensively. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I'm helping DS15yo with his AS maths - what a step up from GCSE  I'm having to resort to the internet to keep one step ahead of himI'm considering retaking my A-level maths to see if I can up my grade :T
If you need a hand you only have to yell. Sometimes the explanations on the internet are confusing, i use it to find stuff too and often they miss out steps and assume you know more than you do. Re taking your A level would be great:T What did you get last time?Dustykitten wrote: » OMG their is a 4th dimension - how does that happen (it is in the world of lost confused smilies isn't it)
Not just 4 dimensions, infinitely many dimensions! It may be the world of lost smilies, no one really knows....A car jack
A road atlas
One of those chamois pad things to wipe the inside of the windscreen.
Can't remember who asked the original question, but adding to this list i have:
A small first aid kit
A tow rope
A fire extinguisher
Going to have a bath then will get cracking on my study list and my flying listThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

AF came this morning and I feel so much better now. I'm feeling much more like my normal self - on the higher dose I felt I was above myself looking down iykwim, but now I'm a lot more aware of what's going on. Do I sound weird? Hope not!
Hubby is exactly the same when his meds are too high.
Morning everyone, not sure what to do today as it looks like it might rain but i'd love to get a bit done in the garden.
Kids out already and Rhys is giving off already.
