And I want to get married and have babies, but we can't all have what we want :(

You will. And they do say be careful what you (and I) wish for!

Thifty I think I might refuse to do a gun licence!

Off to take DD2 to doc later, and 12 week scan tomorrow, so we'll see if there really is a baby there after all. Hatching an ambitious plot to go to launderette to use the giant washing machine.

    Hi all.

Today's list has been started (some was already done;)) but I'm afraid I've had to skim, as so much has gone on since I was online yesterday afternoon.

I'm gutted at Soappie's revelations, but in retrospect, after what went on on the Disability & Dosh board a little while back, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.:(

Fwiw, I faithfully promise that my lupus, clinical depression and social phobia are all totally genuine.:(

Piggers re stick blenders, the one I have is a Braun Multipractic, got to be at least 2 decades old, belonged to Mr LW's mum originally, and I know she used it lots. I don't use it every week, but it's in perfect working order still.
    HTH.

Doglets have had two out of their three walkies; Pip was sleeping, but I think she must've had an interesting dream, as she woofed rather loudly and woke herself up!:o

Wolfy posi-vibes to all who need them today - I'm reluctant to mention names; as mentioned, I've skimmed, and I'm bound to miss out naming someone needing them.

Back to action now - hopefully will post again later.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Oh no, I feel bad now, a teacher friend down the road said ages ago that she would be happy to countersign my passport application but I never got round to it. I was going to call in soon with a box of her favourite Gallo, White Grenache, but now I don't know.
the fact that she offered and you are giving her something to show that you appreciate her spending the time on it is what counts.

l a dr friend enlightened me with the sobering fact that early start usually means late finish, and Mum was nearly 60 :(.
Here's hoping... that gives me a bit more time. I thought the same as you...

Stick blenders - my braun is 14 years old and has served 7 weaning children (passed round friends) and countless soups. Now they do them that are dish washer friendly and was wondering if mine could be persuaded to 'break'.

You will. And they do say be careful what you (and I) wish for!
    :D
Thifty I think I might refuse to do a gun licence!
If you refuse, I suggest you make sure that you provide feedback to the police as to why you have refused. It's all part of the process of making sure that people are properly screened. Last time I applied for my shotgun & firearms certificates (a while ago now) I had to have someone who was unconnected with shooting (didn't have to be a professional) sign as a referree and answer questions which was a very sensible approach.
12 week scan tomorrow, so we'll see if there really is a baby there after all.
What are you expecting then? Could it all be cake? ;):p

Work meeting over... it's cold here... better sort out the laundry and find some lunch...
