Blinking, blonking hell....what a day and I've just caught up....ah well such is life eh?
Anyways, I'm sure someone will enlighten me, a little if not no worries, I'm obviously not in the loop...:rotfl:
Hope Diva recovers fully from her operation.
Done loads in prep for windows, I have packed, binned, flinged, flunged, flanged, rammed, squashed, folded, squeezed and sorted loads today.
Also pathetically wiped some windows as I'm really tired, emptied bins, made tea,
dw x 3
wm x 4
hung washing out
sorted chickens
found missing DVD for DD1's easter gift
oooh I can't remember but there was a tonnage done.
My new hoover is dead....:mad:apparently this one 'blew something' the other day according to DD1 :mad::mad::mad::mad: that was £50 odd, she also has managed to kill off my Miele....I'm actually really upset and don't know what to do, I can't/won't buy another hoover, its an expensive month ala the windows so I can't afford another one.
Anyway, that's today done, hope all goes ok for those who need a bit of luck. xDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Well, yes, she did work. At the same firm as me. Whilst still claiming Income Support, Housing Benefit and carrying on a mutually beneficial relationship with a director 29 years her senior. Amazing how wealthy she was as a result of her efforts. She always thought I was stupid for doing things by the book and explained to me in great detail exactly how she made certain she would never get caught - temping so the job address changed regularly, getting the childminder to cash the benefit book made it look as though she was at home rather than at work and if she were to get an investigation letter, she was going to dye her hair brown so she looked more like the minder on a black and white security camera.
I can't be bothered with the hypocrisy of it all. I'll vote - people died for it, so you should vote - but I'm avoiding the mudslinging and I'm-so-good nonsense.
Just need to declutter my last tea and crash. AF must be around soon, I pretty much have no patience with bullies, liars, racists, anyone - even the cat got pretty short shrift for her claws in my leg today!
No no.. you sound like me on a GOOD day!! lol
TBH, I would probably have dished the dirt on her.. when she was claiming benefits etc.. it is so very very wrong and illegal and an absolute total violation of those who do play the game and live by the rules.
I also believe it does come down to individual cases like this.. 'oh she's pretty'.. 'they have too nice a house'.. Not individual policies like it should (not that I think any one is different to another just worded marginally different) The only thing every politician is interested in is the pay packet and themselves and what they canscrew from the system which is archaic and highly flawed.. and in the name of democracy we put the individuals there who will gain the lions share while the rest of us get screwed over time and again.. it makes no odds who is sitting with their hand onthe big red button the bottom line is.. we, as the great unwashed will be worse off in one area or another.. High tax, high unemployment, crappy education, even crappier health care provision.. and their get out is.. well YOU put us here!
Those women who died for us to be able to vote.. would be totally ashamed if they saw where we are today.. this is not the system they foresaw.
Anyway.. the fact I CAN have a say inevitably means that I WILL.. not that it will make one iota of difference living here.. it is the areas that are borderline that are the ones which will make a difference.. not the staunchly one way or the other areas.. I'd expect a 5 year old to be able to colour a map in the right colour for half the country!
And who in their right mind put the soap box in my corner?! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Morning all.
If I thought I was snotty before, this cold was just teasing. I think there will be lots of steam inhalations today and my voice remains misplaced.
All in all I think today warrants being a sick day. I will have to email in sick - I don't think they'd understand me on the phone - either that all they'll think they have a heavy breather who says nothing!
I am feeling more perky within myself though so I may actually get some flying done!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Going to strip the bed and stick it in the WM and then get in the bath. It's chucking it down here though so I'll probably end up sticking it in the TD.

I know I've only been on here for a couple of weeks, but I can see from reading these posts that you put so much of yourselves into them, iyswim. I still have no idea who is related to who, who is doing what with who, who is who etc and I can get mighty confused sometimes but you are all so welcoming and friendly it's a lovely little (or not so little) community. I really hope that I shall be here a lot longer and make some friends here, if no-one minds.
Sorry, I know that seems a bit sappy and what-have-you and I know I can be very 'socially-awkward' sometimes, but I was pretty shocked by soappies post tonight and I wanted to say my piece.
Anyway, I'm Polly. I often have no idea what the right/best/'done' thing to say is, so if I say the wrong thing, I'm sorry! My house is almost shiny through the help of this thread over the last couple of weeks and I would like to thank everyone for that.
And I still haven't mopped my kitchen floor
pollyskettle? Are you my twin? My much more eloquent twin?
I just want to say ditto ditto ditto ditto ditto ditto ditto....what she said, what she said, what she said
I too have been struggling with my words over the last half hour since reading some of the posts from last night (I did have an inkling, as it happens, and have spent the last week or so feeling really guilty about my non-charitable thoughts), but, I'm not going to let it bother me or my flying
This is a great place to be, with wonderful people, too many to mention (at the moment). Thanks to you all!
Speak to you all later....
NotsoI'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSEso just call me Notso.....
Yes, I'm juggling and I might drop some.... but at least I'm trying

Really sorry that you have been through the "wringer" with one particular poster. I had a run in on disability and dosh and did have my concerns but as I only lurk around here I felt I couldn't really say anything. I have been touched by your support and concern for each other. Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
