I know I've only been on here for a couple of weeks, but I can see from reading these posts that you put so much of yourselves into them, iyswim. I still have no idea who is related to who, who is doing what with who, who is who etc and I can get mighty confused sometimes but you are all so welcoming and friendly it's a lovely little (or not so little) community. I really hope that I shall be here a lot longer and make some friends here, if no-one minds.of course we dont - have you any choolate munchies????

Sorry, I know that seems a bit sappy and what-have-you and I know I can be very 'socially-awkward' sometimes, but I was pretty shocked by soappies post tonight and I wanted to say my piece.

Anyway, I'm Polly. I often have no idea what the right/best/'done' thing to say is, so if I say the wrong thing, I'm sorry! My house is almost shiny through the help of this thread over the last couple of weeks and I would like to thank everyone for that.

And I still haven't mopped my kitchen floor ;)

what do you know that I dont? who is doing what????? and with whom - what have i missed:rotfl: honey there is no right or wrong thing to say or do - we are just ourselves and we try to obey the forum etiquette and be nice to everyone - we are in a free country where we can all have our opinions and we might not agree with some things that are said and in which case we should agree to disagree! I hope you enjoy the thread and i am pleased you are seeing a difference in your home.

Now get that floor mopped or this mule will be getting flung in your direction:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

well done to dect soappie for being on the case - i wonder what part of her anatomy alerted her to the situation?????

we are probably all feeling abit cheated and angry but as penny said if soappie's deductions are right ( and I am sure they are I am not casting aspersions here) then we also need to consider that this poster is ill - mentally and possible some physical (i doubt we will ever know) so we perhaps should have some pity that she hasnt been able to get help.

greenbee well done to you for all you did and lots of (((hugs))):A

ok peeps I need to go to bed as i am worn out - I never knew children were so much work!!!!:rotfl: (not that i did any of course!) their Mum did everything so not much of a holiday for her! Anyway i salute any of you with children - i dont think i could do your job!!!!

    night night all

    love and hugs to everyone
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Polly you may feel that you are socially awkward or something similar....but you're not. I'm stlll trying to get back into the swing of posting here regularly, and some of my posts are long winded and off the point, so I don't expect people to pick up on things, but you did....you noticed that I was upset that our car had been nicked and you sympathised, which gave me a:j to go on and post more. So you get the considerate community gold star award from me and I also love your kitchen :)

Soappie - please don't turn me into a three bird roast! I'm scared that you have a boning knife.

Don't worry Dusty, you're not a guinea fowl, nor a chicken, nor a duck. However if you ever 'fess up to being a turkey or a goose my boning knife might just come into its own....;)

Hoping you and DS3 (and everyone else, except they're in other rooms it seems) sleep well tonight xxx

As for our concerns about dad...got hold of him and he is fine and being a "typical Saffer" not sure I'd like to repeat his thoughts on the situation lest you tar me with his brush :rotfl:... He went rabbiting on about how then I should just not go back onto them and he doesnt understand how depression can be chemical and he thinks I just learned it from my mum and no one ever said her depression was chemical and DH should just slap me next time I go down and that will sort me out  :D

Hugs Polka - methings you (and your DH!) should ignore your Dad's words of wisdom for a while. xxx

Right I have decluttered some beans on toast for tea (the evening, curiously, has fled by!). I have also managed, it seems, to totally declutter my voice - I know it was fading this afternoon but now it's non-existent. Maybe I swept it up into the bin by mistake.

I think I will not be attempting work tomorrow morning.

Stay safe overnight people and please don't have nightmares xxx

Help - think I need a lie down - not only have I done all the ironing that was waiting to be done but also, get this, took down all the stuff that was hanging and not completely dry from the airing rack and ironed that too so can well and truly say all is done now! Am I sad? No, don't answer that! Got Jack Johnson playing on the Mac, he's got such a lovely calming voice and I think that's what kept me going ;)

Pip the wanderer disappeared again this evening, norty girl and was found by a lady who was cooking steak for tea - Pip had followed her nose there and was sat outside! The good thing though is I got some doggie breath freshening and plaque removing gel from Pets At Home so she doesn't smell quite so much of chicken poo now, despite her eating habits - bleugh!!

Not sure whether DS has chicken pox - he has a rash on his face and a few little spots on his torso but GP isn't sure and neither am I. We should know tomorrow if he wakes up pickled. I had to get him checked as my parents have been up and my Dad has to take a special drug for his arthritis and if he's in contact with chicken pox it could cause a real problem for him, so hope DS just has a virus.

Off to bed now as got a lot to do tomorrow - pack bags for me, DS and DD, get DH to take chooks and Pip to appropriate boarding places, tidy up before we go etc. Oh the joy!

Love to all and I PROMISE when I get back I'll do better reading everyone else's posts :) xxx
