Greenbee, hope you have a lovely bath armed with your book and chocolate (don't drop the chocolate though will you ;)).
How on earth would I have managed to drop the chocolate? I practice for this you know...

Anyone else excited about the election :j
Nope. Totally underwhelmed by the politicians as ever. If one of them can actually keep me awake and interested in something sensible then they'll get my vote. I'm not holding my breath

Wine and chocolate dealt with. Book almost finished :( Gym bag packed for the morning. I MUST go and get passport photos while I'm in town, so have time for a sauna but have to put on makeup before I leave the gym...

hex - I've probably asked this before, but have you read any Raffaella Barker? If not, you absolutely must... your hens inspired me to re-read 'Hen's Dancing' which is making me very nostalgic. Actually, all the norfolk girlies should read her... I suggest starting with Hen's Dancing, then Summertime, then Green Grass, skip A Perfect Life and then read Poppyland. Book yourself a few days of pure self-indulgence...

Suppose I should get to bed seeing as it's nearly time to get up again...

You sound like my twin - I love my kitchen and the swing-o-meter - watching NN now

    Hey twinnie :hello: :rotfl:
Not sad at all :T The children and I were discussing politics over dinner (and how our Tory candidate looks like a slug :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: ). I will be setting my alarm for about 2am on 7 May :j

Emily Maitliss seems to have some sort of digital swing-o-meter - not the same at all :(

Nope, don't do digital swingometers :( I discuss politics with the children too. My eldest, love her as I do, is a total airhead. Very good at school, very friendly, cracking sense of humour and socially fine (!), absolutely NO common sense whatsoever. Was vaguely discussing the election with her tonight and she was wondering if I remembered the election last Christmas that I got very excited about. If anyone has any idea what she is referring to, could you let me know please!
what do you know that I dont? who is doing what????? and with whom - what have i missed:rotfl: honey there is no right or wrong thing to say or do - we are just ourselves and we try to obey the forum etiquette and be nice to everyone - we are in a free country where we can all have our opinions and we might not agree with some things that are said and in which case we should agree to disagree! I hope you enjoy the thread and i am pleased you are seeing a difference in your home.

Now get that floor mopped or this mule will be getting flung in your direction:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you very much. I will try not to worry about what I say/type! I'm glad you had a lovely weekend; in your posts you sounded so happy. What was concorde like? I remember seeing it fly over once, quite some time ago.

As for who is doing what with whom.........................*sniggers and runs off* :D

Polly you may feel that you are socially awkward or something similar....but you're not. I'm stlll trying to get back into the swing of posting here regularly, and some of my posts are long winded and off the point, so I don't expect people to pick up on things, but you did....you noticed that I was upset that our car had been nicked and you sympathised, which gave me a:j to go on and post more. So you get the considerate community gold star award from me and I also love your kitchen :)

Thank you, I shall wear my award with pride :D, unless it's chocolate in which case it's long gone! How is the car situation going? I hope it's getting sorted for you x Thank you for the lovely comment about my kitchen too. You wouldn't love it at the moment though, DS and DD2 were outside making mud pies in my empty raised bed today so it really needs mopping, I have vacuumed it so it's not as bad as it was and I shall definitely mop tomorrow, I promise!

Why me of course :p:D Hello I'm AnW's and I'm as Mad as a Box of Frogs :rotfl::T:j

  • I'm having nothing to do with the politics - especially as one of the local Tory candidates is an attractive single mum whose main campaigning thing is 'We must stop this welfare dependency - I was a single parent and I WORKED my way out of poverty, so all benefit scrounging must stop NOW'.

Well, yes, she did work. At the same firm as me. Whilst still claiming Income Support, Housing Benefit and carrying on a mutually beneficial relationship with a director 29 years her senior. Amazing how wealthy she was as a result of her efforts. She always thought I was stupid for doing things by the book and explained to me in great detail exactly how she made certain she would never get caught - temping so the job address changed regularly, getting the childminder to cash the benefit book made it look as though she was at home rather than at work and if she were to get an investigation letter, she was going to dye her hair brown so she looked more like the minder on a black and white security camera.

I can't be bothered with the hypocrisy of it all. I'll vote - people died for it, so you should vote - but I'm avoiding the mudslinging and I'm-so-good nonsense.

Just need to declutter my last tea and crash. AF must be around soon, I pretty much have no patience with bullies, liars, racists, anyone - even the cat got pretty short shrift for her claws in my leg today!
