I told a class last year to be on their best behaviour (might have been Y9s or even older), because the mayor was visiting the school. They didn't have a clue who he was and what he did...Jojo_the_Tightfisted wrote: »Well, yes, she did work. At the same firm as me. I'd be tempted to sling some mud on this occasion, even if it's in retrospect. Was chipping the ice from the freezer at 7.30 this morning, as you do, teenie didn't close it properly last night and half an iceberg formed *rolls eyes* the food is ok though. I've made 1, no, 2 brews, made my bed, put my washing away, remade the settee (cushions galore) opened the curtains, browned off some braising steak then bunged it in the SC with some onions and stuff, collected all the rubbish cos it's binday and will put it out shortly, put a towel over the chipped ice that flew on the floor (I'm so lazy) :rotfl:will scoop it up once i've emptied the WM so that and the others can go in, will do TD aswell, ooooh need to make my sarnie for work.
If I'd done as much as that already this morning, I'd need to sit down!
I've been up since 8am and finally caught up with the thread. Our night out went really well. DS2 was appropriately impressed by Toby Tyke and the band played rock and punk - old and new - not the glorified Karaoke they normally have at this club. I think we're all suffering after the late night, but it was worth it.
I can't claim 'decluttering husband to work' as my own phrase - it's just something I picked up on here. There was so much else I wanted to comment on, but I really need to focus on flying now. Will need a new post for the list, as it's getting a bit technical for me.
Lots of hugs and special wishes for all the poorlies, especially toots, LL, Diva (hope today is going well), Dusty's DS3 and Natty. I know I have forgotten some of you, but please blame my slightly fuzzy head (just tiredness, not booze - honest!).
Hoping for a good day for us all.

I may carry on downstairs and leave our bedroom for later in the week. Other projects depend on getting DR, LR and kitchen finished.
Breakfast first, and a coffee. I have a senseo at the moment, but would love a proper Espresso machine (need to win lottery first). I'm thinking about buying a straight forward coffee maker, though, because the senseo stuff is really too expensive for the quality it produces. I can't remember who orders their coffee online - I wouldn't mind some info about that. I usually have only one cup a day, as more doesn't agree with me, so I like to make that one count and rarely have instant.
Does anyone know if the stove-top espresso makers work on induction hobs? But then, how do I froth up the milk for my latte? All these decisions!0 -

How did you do PenPen?
I think I've peaked...
I have dressed, washed, brushed my teeth and hair. Stripped my bedding and bunged it in the WM (only washed it last Fri but I've been in it far more than normal the last few days and I've been pretty sweaty so it nneds doing)
I have S&S'd the kitchen, loaded the DW, washed up the beans saucepan from last night and bunged some stuff in the oven for breakfast.
I shall call it a fusion of trash meeting OS.
It is oven chips (Finest of course!) with some chopped up red onion and tomato drizzled in olive oil and sprinkled with salt and pepper. I shall fry an egg to garnish it with when it's ready.
Don't laugh, but it's what I fancy and I need to fuel up - I didn't eat enough yesterday.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Toast round 1 done, about to start round 2.
DS2 with DS3 now - he can do geomags one handed so they are busy together. DS2 has such a lovely nature and is so patient with the one armed bandit.
The Dodo has landed so there is hope yet - pancakes later after Ocado have delivered the eggs as I don't have hensThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
