Nope! I'm having it made so all I've seen so far is a sketch and I have a swatch of the fabric. I have seen a full roll of the fabric so I know what it looks like in dress sized quantity - had it wrapped round me to give me an idea but Saturday will be my first actual sighting of the dress
I looked in loads of florists but couldn't find what I liked in purple...lots of lilac or pinky/purple but not what I really liked. Ebay came to the rescue!
Next thing we've decided to buy is umbrellas...just in case!

Well we um'd and ah'd but seeing we've got over 2 hours wandering round a zoo we thought that it might be a necessity (oh god now I've used that word I've got bare necessitities on my brain!)

3 and a bit weeks to go now, and some proper stress starting to appear. I just don't feel yet that we have the running order all sorted, and have to decide still who is doing readings etc.

I have found I have started spending too much money now too! It's like at Christmas when I panic buy as I think I just don't have enough 'stuff'. But in this case seems to be
- buying two sets of lingerie
- buying extra jewellery I can't return but have decided not to use
- randomly buying beauty stuff to just try and fix various different skin issues. Everytime I read one is better than another I end up buying it!

And I still don't have shoes. I really can't find any, I think I will just have to go to a bridal shop and see what they have. I'm not keen to buy online as comfort is critical.

Hey Ladies

Went to go for my final dress fitting today and everything fitted perfect, I am so chuffed!!!!!! No more going back until I collect it 2 days before the wedding and I cannot wait, so excited! Just had a phone call from my wedding cake maker to say they have everything in ready for my cake to be made and just to double check everything is right before they go ahead and make the cake a day before the wedding, that was nice of them... Looks like everything is going well!

O/H is off on his stag night tomorrow until Sunday, they are off to Wales on a fishing weekend...My hen night next friday, can't wait!

OMGGGG I saw my dress for the first time today and loved loved loved it!!! Tried it on with the shoes, headpiece and jewellery I'll wear on the day and couldn't stop staring in the mirror. Felt a million dollars. Linda is truly a miracle worker

Congrats everyone! It's all getting close. I went for second fitting today, which may well be the last one, but I will go a week before the wedding just in case. It's look really beautiful, and so much better now it fits nicely. I'd hoped to lose another couple of kilos in the next few weeks, but it might be a bit much to be honest. The dress is fully laced up (ie no further space to tighten) and if I lose more weight it may be loose.

Do you think that if I ask for more changes with 5 days to go for the wedding they can be done that quick? How long does it actually take to adjust a dress??

When you say fully laced up do you mean that there is no gap when the lacing is done? If so, this is wrong. Your lacing needs to be approx 5" at the top going narrower to the bottom where it will be closed. If the former is the case, it means the dress needs to be taken in at the sides. Adjustments can be made at the shop/dressmakers discression, but I'd try not to lose any more weight this close to the day. HTH

So excited and more relaxed today as well. Out on Thursday night to a Ladies night, which consists of wine, food and nik naks and then I have got my Hen night on Friday, in which I am now looking forward to...It will not be too long when I am posting on here stating only 1 day left!
