i'm an early October bride too! everything organised, just deciding what to do with hair when tiara arrives. Can't wait, so exited !

Cake by a friend who makes em for a living, hair by a friend who is on maternity leave as a hair stylist, dress from debenhams, meal at our fav place. ( 3 course , 3 choices of course) it normally is shut on a monday but has opened specially so we have venue to ourselves. shoes from ebay! flowers by a strange local lady who won't rip us off like the big florists. just need to put together the place settings and favours nearer the time. although we could do with gift ideas for our witnesses ? nothing too pricy just thoughtful ?

first dress fitting today! wish me luck. all those hours in the gym being put to the test now. im a bit nervous!

good luck hunni!

It's 1 month to our wedding today and I am so excited. I have just had some great news that I have a job! It's part time, but it get's me out the house and back into the work scene after 2 years being out of work due to illness. I am so chuffed.

Hope everyone's plans are going okay. We are off to our venue on Saturday morning to go over final numbers and pay the outstanding bill, then I am off shopping with my mum for her 'Mother of the bride' outfit!

I have a few little things to do left.
My dress is ready to pick up - when I get the time to do so!
I have however lost my hairband somewhere. May end up buying a new one.
Hair and Make up both still to do
Gifts to do. I haven't even thought about these yet.
Haven't had all the replies from guests yet...in fact some people haven't even had their invites yet!
Didn't buy enough favours so need to make some more.

Actually it's not just little things left. It's a lot! AND there is only one weekend where me and Hubby to be are both around before the wedding. And that is being taken up with non wedding stuff.

Hey my fellow Brides, when are you all having your final fitting for your dress? and when are your bridemaids having theirs? only 5 weeks and 5 days for us now

I'm having a fitting on 17th Sept...that'll be the first time I've ever seen the dress! And then final fitting on 1st October. BM bought her dress ages ago and has already worn it as her prom dress...am hoping she hasn't put weight on but highly unlikely as she's a very weight conscious gorgeously slim 16yr old

I had first fitting last week, and will go again the weekend after next. That won't be the final as they had to make a lot of changes and decided to do that first before adjusting the hem. So I suppose there will be another fitting quite close to the date - we are 8 October.

Hello Bride's to be

I went for my dress fitting on thursday last week and it fitted perfect after alterations, but it was still too long on the bottom, so going have a little more taken off the bottom. Going back for my final dress fitting (Hopefully) on Thursday 15th September! I cannot wait, I cried last time I tried it on.

I cannot believe that it is 18 days until our big day, I am so excited...everything is now sorted and paid for, all I need to do is the turn up on the day lol

Has everyone else got everything sorted?

I feel like we're almost sorted now. I seem to have spent the last couple of weeks raiding ebay for silk flowers etc but now have table deccies all sorted - combination of ebay, wholesale shops and ikea Found a colleague at work who does balloons so my evening decorations are also in hand. Just paid the balance on the photographer today.
One thing I haven't even seen yet is my dress - will see that for the first time on Saturday!!!

Glad to hear everything is getting sorted for you. I was on Ebay for week's looking for foam flowers, but in the end I decided to go into my local florist and to my relief she did wedding flowers, artificial ones and they were foam! lol
