Online Tesco Clothes Glitch - possibly free clothes up to £50-£60!!!

I would be very pleased if I COULD pop into Tesco to exchange my items as they do not fit. The problem I anticipate is that the clothes are called an 'online special' and therefore not available in the stores - obvioulsy I selected badly. When the C Services assistant scans the items - I imagine she will just refer me to the internet again to return.
Unless anyone knows differently?0 -

It was tagged @ £20, was reduced to £15 when I bought it online, but now scans at £10 at the till.
I was told that without a receipt, they'd only allow me to exchange it for the current scan price of £10.
Though with the receipt I would get even less than that, as the various discount codes brought this item's price down to £7.78
I hoped a partial (page 2/3) print-out of the order confirmation email would suffice as proof of purchase, as this showed the order no. & base item prices, but not the discounts & total price paid.
Unfortunately was told it had to be a full receipt
Also they wouldn't give a gift voucher, only exchange for non-grocery item upto the same value.
As they didn't have an equivalent item, or anything else of interest, I opted to keep the over-sized item.
Will take it to a different Tesco's tomorrow & try my luck there; hopefully i'll get a less on-the-ball CS assistant.
yes, IMHO that is deceitful behaviour“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -
Depends how much she was asking for on the gift voucher?
She'd be out of pocket if she simply sent them back - is it a £2 charge? do we pay for postage?52% tight0 -
I may agree that such behaviour was intended to deceive in order to do a swap for clothes at the same value/rate as originally agreed on the online purchase Veruccasalt.
However - I could never criticise such behaviour having myself already attempted to make an order using codes which were certainly not intended for use on one purchase.
I have used codes before too from this site when they have been seen as glitches. I know that some would condier this top be deceitful. It is up to each of us to decide what is right for us.0 -
Sorry I missed this one, just tried an order today but none of the codes work._pale_
Thought I'd post to save anyone else having to go through them all. Tried various orders/combinations, I did get 500 extra points though, but paid for delivery.
These are the codes I tried

I took a jacket back today to the store. The assistant said that I had brought the wrong dispatch note as the jacket was showing on the till at £60!! I couldn't lie and explained that the jacket was reduced to £15 and discounted to £8.33.
I received my refund of £8.33, but my 1000 points are in tact!ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0 -

Got my parcel OK from Tesco (via a local courier it seems) and although they could not satisfy two of the items, I appear to have got 2 pairs of kids trainers, a woman's shirt, a woman's skirt and a 6 year old girl's outfit that I have spotted for £8 in store, for the total price of £21.55. I definitely would have paid a tenner for the shirt and skirt each, and a fiver for the kids trainers minimum, and then £4 minimum for the girls outfit (now reduced from 16 to 8 in-store). As it stands I am a few quid up and don't really mind whether the points come through or not. I have temporarily lost the receipt but noted with some curiousity that it discounted all of the items proportionately. I didn't overly mind as all the stuff fitted/suited anyway. Sorry to be so positive about it when others are not getting orders delivered etc....Thanks again OP. A true bargain for those that ordered only stuff that they were likely to wear/fit. Sal xxxx0
