    Found the post FW. Ok, you were supposed to have been offered:

    3. RIGHT TO CARE
    If boarding is denied to you against your will easyJet will offer you:
    a) meals and refreshments in a reasonable relation to the waiting time;
    b) hotel accommodation where a stay of one or more nights becomes necessary;
    c) transport between the airport and place of accommodation (hotel or other)
    d) two telephone calls, telex or fax messages, or emails.

    and if you weren't this applies

    If your flight is delayed as specified under 'Flight Delays' above or cancelled without notice being given to you prior to your arrival at the airport of departure easyJet will offer you items a) and d) above. If the new time of departure is reasonably expected as a result of the delay or your being re-routed following a cancellation to at least the day after the original time of departure, we will also offer you b) and c) above. In the unlikely event it is not possible for easyJet to arrange care set out in this paragraph, easyJet will reimburse you for reasonable receipted expenses upon application to easyJet Customer Support, Hangar 89, London Luton Airport, LU2 9PF.

    so basically - write them a letter, explaining what time you got to the airport, what happened, all the way until you finally managed to board the plane, explain you would like the compensation

    1. RIGHT TO COMPENSATION
    If you are involuntarily denied boarding or your flight is cancelled (provided an exception specified above does not apply), you shall receive compensation amounting to the following:
    · EUR 250 for all flights 1 500 km or less;

    as agreed.

    Include copies of your ticket so they can see you were definitely booked for it. And then wait for the money to be sent to you.

    I do like the frog eating. I completed a task which has been on my todo list for months - not urgent, just annoying and every day, transferring it made me feel incompetent and set me off on the wrong foot.

    It was a phone call and it took 4 minutes. :eek::eek:

    Why didn't I do it before? Answers on a postcard, please.
    But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

    Here's a link the the mse article on the EU rules for flight delays:

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/flight-delays

    Easyjet need to comply with the EU rules which could be more than Easyjet say they are willing to offer in their contract.

    Two 'critical' tasks (big fat ugly frogs) completed; bags packed; ready to roll and ready to rock. Let us all hope that this time I'll catch the right train from the right station. Last time I went to the wrong station, would you believe.

    Be in touch later - next frog is blog posts. I am very worried about all this it seems; made too big a deal of it. But is there real difference between some of my posts here and the ones that can go on the blog?

    I dont know what the rules on blog posting are. I have only ever read yours (regularly), Fritty's (once) and a couple ZTD recommended (once). Dunno. Do what you feel comfortable with. I will still read them.

    I think your blog posts are like a summary of what has been pondered here. So the digestion happens here and the final product gets presented in the blog.

    I dont' know if that makes sense. DD is being terribly noisy and I am starting to get to the point that I can't handle any more noise for today and am going to explode. Getting her to bed in 15 minutes. Sigh...

    She got into her pyjamas now and did it quietly so I am giving her 10 more minutes of Mary Poppin. All is well again.
