I can definitely see Mr C in that description. He is a thinker, I often think that he thinks too much and Lara has put into words what I couldnt understand, he makes every job much bigger than it needs be by thinking about it too deeply. This means that nothing gets done. I also believe that part of it is because whilst he is thinking and planning (the garden is one area) and not doing, then the job cant go wrong, not turn out as perfectly as he would wish and so by not doing it he can never be seen to "fail". Now that isnt what most people would think but he would totally believe that he would fail by the job not being "perfect".

He writes the most interesting, intelligent, witty letters and emails to people but he takes hours to do this, writing, proof reading, amending, reading again that he takes away the enjoyment from it for himself. He needs to eat lots of frogs I think.

ETA - I have to say that all of these things are what make me love him but they can be a bloomin nuisance at times.

I think Mr C must be my long lost brother. I, too, proof read emails and I'm sure that there is a lot more I could get done if I could accept that good enough is good enough!;)

I need to search for the post about frogs. I may need a change of diet.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

A quick question - after my disaster flight with EasyJet it seems I am entitled to compensation (about 250 euro). Does anyone reading know how to do this one? Will be helping me a lot - this is the next frog for me, I am afraid.

Ask in Matrix thread or PM to Psychobabble. She will know.

Thank you Maru and Bob, I read this again - and it is still unclear. Need to trace Psychobabble I suppose.

there is lots of stuff there to baffle you FW. The final word is

"In the unlikely event it is not possible for easyJet to arrange care set out in this paragraph, easyJet will reimburse you for reasonable receipted expenses upon application to easyJet Customer Support, Hangar 89, London Luton Airport, LU2 9PF."

I can't remember now, was your flight delayed or cancelled?

And the frog eating continues! Today I not only followed the principle of frog eating – e.g. approached my most challenging task for the day first – but also continued reading the book. And guess what? Do you remember a post several days back when I was saying that I have lost my way and that if I don’t know where I am going it is not very likely to get there? Well, it is like the Universe is conspiring to help me with this.

Committing to ‘eating a frog’ is easy; committing to ‘eating the biggest and ugliest frog first’ is not that hard either. Identifying the FROG is something else. Brian Tracy is right – to identify one’s daily frog one has to have a long term vision of where they want to be...and work backwards. Which I have been kind of doing since the beginning of the year but did not do this month because...because I thought I have too much to do. Guess this was why I started getting worried about my direction – took my eye off the ball.

Tonight I revisited all my mind maps of things to do – the overall one; and the monthly one. I am yet to do two things – prioritise the activities (output) according to how critical it is to where I wish to be; and develop a plan; in other words go to an even more detailed activities level and organise these according to their priority and in sequence. Also, need to do a weekly plan so that the daily one will become a ‘technical’ issue.

Also last night I was looking at a blog (American one of course) and this guy (I am assuming here but the blog is rather masculine) has been reading Benjamin Franklin’s biography. What a guy; Benjamin Franklin, I mean! I knew that he was a polymath but did not realise that before going into science and than politics he did build a successful and very profitable business. There was a page of Franklin’s daily to do list on this blog. Amazing! It was not brimming with activity but was divided into two sides; at the top of the left hand side it said ‘what is the good I am going to do today?’ and at the bottom left hand side it said ‘What is the good I have done today?’.

Questions that we all need to start asking ourselves first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

I am asking myself, what good did I do today?
