I hope it is ok for me to do it on Monday when I am back at home. Fiddly logging on there from BF's laptop"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Enjoy your break, Maru - of course it is. This is a general call but the more I think about it the more I believe that the virtual/teleconference meet/make over that we did with Fantasia is worth repeating for different member of the Matrix.

Hi i have been online for about an hour. The computer parts had to be reordered and now i have access. So much on here to catch up on. Highly motivating as usual. Will catch up. I just want to say that LB will treasure the memories of his childhood when he is older, he is just growing up. We all love him you know it fills me with joy to see what you write about him and William too with his children. We need good people like you. Bless you Firewalker.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

After cooking lunch (home made pita bread, fried bacon, fried mushrooms and hot dog sausages – don’t ask) my day drifted to more challenging areas. To begin with I read a bit more of Eat That Frog – and did some more exercises to identify the frog. Have to say that it is all becoming clearer again although I have someway to go on: clarity, deadlines, identifying actions, planning and, of course doing.
Doing! Now this is a good one. Today OH and I had this conversation – or was it more of a monologue – about doing. Neither of us is an action person; we like thinking about things; we enjoy working things out; being part of the chattering classes we simply adore talking about things and what we will do. Actually doing it is an entirely different matter. This is to change – we will do because doing is what propels people forward. And, Maru, you are right – I have not written my masterpiece because I am too busy talking about it, and dreaming about it and being scared to my very core of it. All I have to do is actually do it.
Having figured this one out the fun really began. I finally wrote another post for the blog – one on the importance of knowing one’s net wealth and how to calculate it. This completed the basics (which frankly I do find boring but doing them is so necessary). After that, I decided that I will do again all that I am writing about – so calculated everything (income, expenditure, assets, possessions, liabilities and net wealth). Great fun was had and interesting results were obtained. It feels much better – the overall figure for the net wealth (individually and as a unit) is good and I know that it will become so much better. I am richer than OH which is good in itself – who said that ‘nice girls can’t get rich’. Oh, they can...And it was also very motivating to see how much our net wealth has increased since January 2010 (some of the increase admittedly through inheritance and I would have rather waited for this one a bit longer).
Now probably is time for a bit of TV watching?
Good night and sleep well.

I recognise myself a lot here. The only way I have found to do 'doing' is to sign up for a course, and then the doing moves slowly enough that the fear can be sidelined enough to complete. I also work incrementally, I think this is a problem. I have an idea that things worth doing must take a long time. I don't know how to deprogram this.
I have been reading a lot about writing practices, as this is a very challenging area for me. It's great that you write first for 3 hours. I would like to try something like this when I get home, although perhaps a little shorterFieldwork has gone very well this week. The homesickness is fading, which it seems to do after two weeks here. I have been pushing myself hard, we will see what can be achieved in the next 6 weeks. Hopefully a lot!

I recognise myself in what Lara's quoted of yours too, FW. Not completely - I love the beginning "doings" - like today, I'm sorting papers I've accumulated over the last two years, which is how long the green website has been germinating in my head
and thats definitely a doing, not a thinking/talking. But it seems like the same principle to me - beginnings are *so* attractive, but seeing it through is something else again - like in the eat the frog movie that someone posted on MG's thread - finishing a task is what matters and makes us feel *truly* positive.

I can definitely see Mr C in that description. He is a thinker, I often think that he thinks too much and Lara has put into words what I couldnt understand, he makes every job much bigger than it needs be by thinking about it too deeply. This means that nothing gets done. I also believe that part of it is because whilst he is thinking and planning (the garden is one area) and not doing, then the job cant go wrong, not turn out as perfectly as he would wish and so by not doing it he can never be seen to "fail". Now that isnt what most people would think but he would totally believe that he would fail by the job not being "perfect".
He writes the most interesting, intelligent, witty letters and emails to people but he takes hours to do this, writing, proof reading, amending, reading again that he takes away the enjoyment from it for himself. He needs to eat lots of frogs I think.
ETA - I have to say that all of these things are what make me love him but they can be a bloomin nuisance at times. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. This starts looking like a the Big Fat Frog Eating Club emerging. I'll join; and Mr FW and...
Today, I already ate one frog - not very big and not very ugly but a frog nevertheless. Now off for a run/walk that I badly need. Anf today is the Day of Flowers (the Sunday before Easter in the Orthodox calender) and my sister's name day. So
Happy Name Day to all people with names of flowers (Florance, Daisy, Margaritta etc.).
