  • i have a few chicken stock cubes but no other flavours. i certainly need some pasta and rice. she wont give me a recipe as its a family secret! from what my son has told me they're beef filled with some sort of cabbage mix. definitely gonna try and swap some meat for veg as i know that my neighbour has a full green house he-he. my oh has also been banished to the garden to start a vege patch. just need some seeds but i'll see if the neighbour has any spares. ive got about a quarter of a box of oats. thank you so much for everyones help.

Surely you're family now? Or is she going to wait to teach your son the recipe?? If so, get him cooking soon...

Good to hear hubby is making the most of the bank holiday weekend ;):D

    Hi chaos-is-home

Sorry, not able to contribute re your large amount of meat as I am a veggie :rotfl:but just wanted to say that you (or your oh) might want to have a look on the Greenfingered Moneysaving forum. Lots of helpful info for growing your own without spending a fortune including free seeds from the BBC Dig In.

    Good luck

I'm sure your blog is great frugalqueen but you really don't need to plug it in every post you make in the Old Style forum ;) I think if you look at the rules you'll find that you are allowed to have a link to your blog in your profile but you should not promote it in your posts.

Oh SHe sounds like a mean woman! Witholding recipes?! Grrr:o

Why don't you add your veg to your list of food so people can see what you have to work with :)
