I saw the signs today. The word any wasn't on the signs!0 -
i agree, however im sure you can see how someone could make that mistake?
then you would expect Asda CS to rectify that mistake without the customer being patronised?
Rectifying it would have been given her a refund. Theres nowhere in her post where she says she asked for this and it was denied. She sounds like she had a massive tantrum so she'll claim anyone was rude/patronising to her.0 -
I was in ASDA today. Dundee not Perth. In a fridge end there is a red sign above saying 2 for £4 top 2 shelves have beef burgers, venison burgers minted lamb burgers etc. The shelf is edged with 2 for £4. on the base and the 1st shelf it has diced Turkey, turkey brest stirfry strips turkey mince also edges with 2 for £4. to the right is another end of aisle chiller this says mix and match 3 for £10 and has chicken breast, beef mince, pork and i think bacon.
If this is the think the OP is talking about I don't blame her for being confused.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

or making a judgement call to allow the custmer to have the 2 items for £4,whilst making it clear they werent included in the deal
customer gets what the want, get told how the deal works,Asda gets their £40 -
Firstly, apologies for not posting sooner but was away all weekend, and now i've caught up on the washing/ironing, I'm catching up on mse news.
Firstly, to clarify, the two products were up the same aisle. and both had those wee red 2 for £4 stickers on them. Which was why i thought that I could literally buy any 2 for £4.
the burgers were raw, beef burgers not those microwave nonsense things.
Secondly, i seem to have angered a friend of the managers by naming her on here. It was not my intention to anger you, I was annoyed at the way she patrionised me. and you have agreed yourself she can indeed be patrionising.
Feel free to indeed tell her about this forum, but I'm sure she is aware of the issue as the manager from the store has given me a wee phone call.
He apologised, which was appreciated and also said he would look into any misleading signs. And also said i should have been given a refund.
Also to point out, I am not one of "those" customers that complain at the drop of a hat about customer service. I agree this is an open public forum and people will make any perception about me that they wish, but for my own piece of mind, I don't complain willy nilly about service, nor have tantrums in stores.
I bought what I thought was on an offer, and when it wasnt tried to get that clarified at customer services. When the girl at CS couldnt really explain it, I asked for the manager to explain it. It was the managers attitude that I found a bit of an eye opener. I have previously worked in retail/bar/and office based work ( a wide career history lol) so have been on the receiving end of customers rants. However, I didnt "rant" at this woman,or have a massive tantrum! (lol i leave those to my wee one) I said I was confused because to me the signs were misleading. I then got the responses from her that I found on the rude side.
So there we have it. The case of the raw meat and the confused customer.
If i've missed any points or not apologised to anyone that thinks i'm a toy-throwing out of pram, tantrum-throwing, brat then just let me know.
thanks again for all replies, and points raised.:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpulsPrincesses wear crowns to remind them that they are beautiful and special because some days its easy to forget. :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls0 -
I have worked in supermarket cutomers sevice for nearly 10 years and all I can say is VILE customer:mad: people like this complainer seem to think it is ok to treat staff (who are only doing their jobs) like a piece of worthless rubbish. I also notice she had her mother with her. Did they both starting getting verbal? 2 against 1 a very common form of attack by customers. Did the complainer not think of checking the offer before purchasing?0

Not very nice. Even worse that you joined specifically to say this.
Are you Elizabeth?!
More likely an established MSE member too embarrassed to post under their own profile.

If the meat manager was doing her job, she would have been polite and courteous at all times, Doesn't Walmart practice the *customer is always* philosophy?
The meat manager could easily have been less rude and hence the op wouldn't be so upset and annoyed.#JusticeForGrenfell0
