ASDA complaint.......

My McDonalds was in a university town too, but perhaps not quite such a posh one! I would say that half the staff were students and half were "career mcdonalders". Nothing wrong with this, I LOVED working there and still love the place. Anyway.
OP please do let us know how you get on with ASDA. This whole thread seems to have changed direction as so often seems to happen on this board. Im going back to freebies and money saving in marriages....:A0 -
Funny how the OP ranted and raved about the conduct of a member of staff in Asda but doesn't have the decency to come back on here and tell us what the outcome was.
And before someone comes on here and posts that it is non of our business, it is our business because the OP posted here in the first place.

She did get quite a lot of personal comments suggesting that actually it was her fault. Not terribly nice.:A0

in the interest of science i looked in my local asda superstore
they had burgers on 2 for £4
plus other meat offers 2 for £4
now in my store these were in different aisles, but no specific signs, just the shelf edge labels
there were also 2 for £5 burgers, only identifiable by their price labels0 -

I did the same. No specific signs but it was clear enough for me. There's no way I'd think I could mix promotions from different aisles.0 -
but nothing to say you cant, surely thats an issue
any 2 for £4 could be interpreted as a store wide offer
When I've seen store wide promotions theres always been massive signs stating such a promotion more or less shouting at you. I'd think you can mix products located in the same bay when theres signs on that entire bay saying an offer. I wouldn't think I can pick one item up and try mixing with another promotion in another area unless a sign said I could.but nothing to say you cant
I think it's more a case of nothing says you can.0 -
i agree, however im sure you can see how someone could make that mistake?
then you would expect Asda CS to rectify that mistake without the customer being patronised?0 -

But you are making a judgement about what the promotional signs mean. Someone else might make a different judgement. Your judgement involves prior experience. If I visited the store I wouldnt have this experience so I would probably have to ask myself which products are included in the promotion and as the signs dont say explicitly then you have to make up the detail. Other supermarkets usually list the products you can mix and match on the shelf label or else wouldnt use the word any on the label if the two items had to be identical. It is a fair enough assumption that if two burgers are worth £4 and two packets of turkey are worth £4 then perhaps one of each might also be worth £4. The particular store may also have placed the wrong items next to each other or something. We wont really know unless the OP comes back and adds a bit of detail. Either way clearer signage would help new customers, those in a rush/tired etc or stupid people:A0
