Does anyone know how long it takes to be processed I heard that it was 6-

8weeks is this right for an income support decision?

Income Support processing times will vary from area to area.

You should contact them without delay however as they take your date of first contact into account when processing your award.

Also, you may wish to apply for Council Tax Benefit as you are on other benefits and have children.
I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.

I received a letter saying that from 12th April all maintence will be disregarded and that from the £15th April I'll receive the full amount of IS rather than the few quid a forntnight I receive now.

My next IS payment is due on 14th April, does anyone know if that means I'll receive the Few £ as normal and then have to wait until my next fornightly payment on the 28th April to see the increase?

And does anyone know why when it's supposed to be a rule change from the 12rth April my letter said the change will only affect me from the 15th? (I hope my question makes sense I'm not at home so don't have the wording of the letter with me)

See thats the bit thats confusing me, my next payment date is the 14th too, but the letter definitely said the 15th, I remember because it's my sisters birthday.

Is it because its paid in arrears? do you get the last payment as it it now on the 14th then as of payments after the 15th it will have gone up.
