happyhaddock wrote: »Hi LJM are LaRedoute being a pain? our DMP officially starts today as well but our payment goes on the 10th as I pay the mortgage on the 1st
La Redoute said they would set my account up on a payment plan, min payment 45.00 which is the same I was paying already, and also made the "collection agency will ask for full payment" threat. CCCS said they wrote to them and said my account was already passed to the collection agency and that this collection agency always freezes interest.....Paddle no. 12

I think sometimes they really do not know what they are doing or how their own systems work. If I had a pound for the number of times that I've had to tell someone on the phone how to sort out the problem then I wouldn't be in this mess:rotfl:0

Oooo any tips? Not that Im expecting anything, to be honest its a bit weird getting CA for a child, cos its not like I wouldnt care for him anyway. But at least I dont have to leave him and get a job for a while. Although after his behaviour today he better watch himself :rotfl:
Well I asked him and his main point is that you need to find someone equivalent to him in your area, who could come and assess your whole situation and find out if you're getting all the benefits you can be. He asks if you know if there's a Family Information Service or Children's Service in your area, or a local carer's centre? These would be the people to talk to.
He also says:
Have you had a carer's assessment?
Is there a parent carer support group in your area?
Hope some of that helped - I know we all need everything we can get on here!
We were filling in our super-spreadsheet tonight and have already overspent on groceries and used up all our personal allowances for the month, a week after payday :-( It's crazy how quickly it all adds up but at least we can see it all. I just want to get the car out of the way so we can settle into our normal budgets and routines.0 -
:easter_ba Hi guys thanks for the advice, phoned cccs both to set up next months DD and picked her brains about the letters:eek: they said the same as you all, dont have to talk to them if I dont want to, the cccs sent the papers and budget sheets and all, to them last friday, so as she says it could take a week or two before they respond properly to them.
She also said that if they turned up at the door, which she doubts, but if they do, just to tell them about the DMP and not to give them any money and basically just shut the door. dont have any extra to give them anyway.:p
:j so thanks for the advice and hope you all have smashing holiday weekend, not to much choccy, :hello:some of us have to work Boo Hoo:(

Now, for someone used to 20.00 jars from premium brands quess what? Its FAB, I will def be back for a stock pile before the offer is over!:j

:DHi Peeps just done a long message and the computer ate it :EasterBun
Day long tidy up here, in the hope of staying this way for the holiday:rotfl:no chance of 24 hours!
DH is doing a daddy pig impression with koncking some plaster off the wall...am thinking some of you might know the episode of peppa pig I am thinking of, or maybe I'm the only one who likes it too!
LJM good to see your back...... look forward to hearing how you do with the dd questions re the book:rotfl:Glad its you not me, we get qustions of that nature from dd 7 1/2, and always answer matter of fact and just enough info to allow her to ask another question if she wants or to fingers crossed satisfy her need for information! Good Luck
Tedsd - have a lovely family time! Hope everyone behaves for you the family and the phoning creditors. I had a phone call from hsbc about a late payment on christmas eve a few years ago, I was in labour(dh passed me the phone!!!!!) and they came of the phone very quickly after they'd listened to a contraction - but they did stay on the phone for the whole of it !!!!!
Polly - you sound much less stressed now, glad you got to speak to cccs.
You're not a stange mum liking the hols! I really look forward to them, but I think children who go to school, nursery etc get so much stimulation socially as well as educationally they take a while to settle into the pace of holiday time and that's the bit that does this to me:eek: Trying to entertain them on a tight budget, when we are out in the sticks with nothing in walking distance, apart from walking also:eek: And trying to catch dd up on what I feel she should have been doing in school but hasn't:eek:DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -
