I think it just tells us if someone is logged in. But then again I may be wrong. If I am, someone please correct me.

Martin asked me to say I'm a volunteer Board Guide on the Utilities board, facilitating its smooth running. I can move & change posts there. However I do not read every post.

This function was disabled so that we all had to be seen. I still don't agree that this was the right thing to do, I think we all should be able to choose whether to be seen or not, I think it very unfair that the choice is made for us.
This "Who's Online" feature is native to many large forums, even those that are bigger then ours.
At the end of the day it harms no one, its like the thread rating feature... if that was liked, then why isn't "Who's Online"? they're basically the same - they both show the more popular forum/threads... so logically, if you don't like one you shouldn't like the other :PThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. I answered you regarding this question on the test forum William and will say again, just sometimes for "safety" reasons I don't want everyone knowing that I am online at any given time and even worse knowing exactly whereabouts on the forums I am. Therefore I personally would prefer we could use the invisible button and sorry but I don't see what that has to do with "rating a thread?"
:D
BUT, secretly I quite looking at who else is online :cool:0
