ha ha i do this with my teen daughters , they try an item of clothes on and think im washing it !!!! they are none the wiser when i fold them up with the clean washing lol
love this thread there is so many things i do that has been mentioned on here , havent finished reading all pages yet but thanks for the tips everyone xx

My DS is 16 and couldn't care less if his clothes are smelly :rotfl:but he does try dumping clean stuff in the laundry purely to avoid having to hang it up. I don't sneak round trying to fool him, hanging it up myself - I dump it on his bed with an earful about not having the time, enegry or money to wash and iron clean clothes!

They can decide whether it's legal/honest, and whether they want to do it or not.

another use for free shower caps.... my DH is in the Navy and I am an instructor with the sea cadets... when cap is cleaned (with soap and a old nail brush!!) dry and cover with shower cap. Elastic keeps it on, and shower cap keeps it clean... saves time, effort, energy and soap with a freebie!!!!

I'm not too worried, the mouth isn't exactly sterile,is it?I rinse it a bit and let it dry.
I'll ask my dental hygienist her opinion next time, well, that's if I can pluck up the courage!
(It never would have occured to me to ask her).
Good luck if you do ask her! :-) I normally don't worry about germs at all, am kind of surprised at myself for thinking bacteria might be spawning on your bit of dental floss! :D
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

I make and jar my own pasta and curry sauce in large batches so I have a ready meal that is preservative and colourings etc free.
wow, how do you do that, I'd love to try it out
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D

I'm going to see my dentist in a few weeks-my hygienist is off sick-so I'll let you know!

We come into contact with so many germs, simply by opening doors, handling money etc,and or usually no worse off for it.

All the same, sometimes I think if I saw all the germs I come into contact with,I'd never want to leave the house. The first thing I do on getting home is wash my hands with hot, soapy water.

wonder if you could pour boiling water over the floss to kill germs ?

Or maybe keep it in a little pot of mouthwash inbetween uses? If mouthwash kills bacteria in your mouth it might do the trick?
