Nor me. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
annie-c wrote:Lol... come on now, this is the OS board... why would you spend money on a rolling pin when a clean wine bottle would do the job perfectly well!!!
Don't drink wine, so none of those either. Actually on the wagon, at the moment.
Anyway, I need to make another cake first. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Thought you'd like this cake recipe - it doesn't even need to go in the oven!
Very More-ish refridgerator cake
4oz / 100g butter
3oz / 75g golden syrup
1oz / 25g cocoa powder
4oz / 100g seedless raisins (or I use dried cranberries - very yummy!)
8oz / 200g mixed sweet biscuits, crushed (very cheap ones are fine)
4oz / 100g milk chocolate
Well grease a 6" - 7" cake tin or pie dish (I also line with baking parchment)
Put butter, syrup, cocoa & dried fruit into a saucepan and heat gently until butter has melted. Stir in crushed biscuits. Press into tin and leave to cool in fridge until set. Melt chocolate in a bowl over hot water and then spread over cake. Put back in fridge to set then remove from tin & cut.
I defy you to make this last more than a few days!0 -
